Many women no longer consider it bad . They reason when men do it why not us ? Also all these activities earn good money to achieve financial independence - to have money of their own - to buy stuff and also to lessen thier dependence upon others - men
That is why many liberals support them - that financial independence is a means of empowering women.
why is that many women continue to remain married even thier husbands are not good to them ? Because they often dont have any financial independence and hence nowever to go.
Of course they dont really care about islamic values

As'Salam O Alaikum, Bhai Adnan first of all, you post really good thing here, well done!

But in first few paras, I guess you made bit longer 'tamheed'.

The funniest fact is that, most of the time ladies are well aware of the fact, that, they are being used as tool or object, yet they wanted to live in the world of fantasies.

I dont know about other womenish fields, but yes its very true that if you have women in sales, you got good chances of hike in your sales.

A Christian priest asked Moulana Asim (in Canada) why do Muslim keep their women in veil and in home, Moulana Asim replied that look at those Jewelery shops, they place not-so-import jewelery items in baskets, any passer-by can touch them, see them and if like they can buy them. But if some genuine customer looking for something precious and inquire the shop-keeper, he will bring the precious Jewelery item from some inside locker or safe. So Moulana concluded that our Muslimah are like those precious things, we keep them safe, and West on other hand have exposed their women to everyone.

Most of Pakistani fellow are buried into inferior complexity from West & India, trying to be replica of them. And to ignite that complex, Media is playing its role with all due sincerity.

The only solution is to bring Islam & Deen in our home, the first & the only thing we can do at the moment. The movement has already started, we have to become part of the change insha ALLAH.

Wa'Salam,

**very wide open eyes**

This is something so devastating for a muslim society - I mean, does our zawaal know NO end?????

And yes, I agree with you - that this 'usage' of women as a tool for media, etc is rampant... and this is also very very true that women do not feel this as an insult to them.

I suggest - whenever you face ANY such situation, please make fun of them OPENLY. Why? They just might learn a hard lesson this way.

PS: You have a rich vocab. I didn't know (or understand, but not too keen to find out) half the words .. lol.

Hello Random Surfer, welcome to my blog.

"So, try to avoid discourage TV in your family as much as you can. Not for a molvi but for your own family"

I am surprised you did not read the above para. I doubt you have even the link I mentioned above. Keep the Islam aside, the study says that its harmful for "EveryOne" not for "Muslims Only". The reason I mentioned Islam because following the religion could already save us from many problems.

AS far as responding the other reader,he's kind of regular visitor of my blog and I do know his mindset and why does he visit the site,if rejecting his statements which are offensive towards a religion is kind of disrespect then I think I am happy with it. Unlike so called enlightened people I don't censor his post which is the proof that I never rejected his point of view and he was given full chance to express his point of view. Kindly go thru the blog first and then comment. You might "not be reading" it but maybe you will come back to read it. ;)

Dear Adnan,

I stumbled upon your blog and was pleased for a moment to see a fellow Karachite blogger. It is not likely that I will revisit again but I would like to leave a few words behind.

1- It is never okay to distort facts. Any distortion or misrepresentation actually hurts your cause. Think about this: do you think God needs misrepresentations in His path? If not, then what do you think can be gained by that? The study you linked clearly points to the harmful effect of TV's overuse, which they defined as more than two hours of watching. Sounds reasonable as anything in excess can be harmful. But how does this support your conclusion that TV is harmful and should be avoided as much as possible?

2- It is never okay to disrespect others. It is utmost important for everyone, perhaps even more so for a writer, to be humble and respectful of others' opinions. Your treatment of "Pakiboy" leaves a lot to be desired.

Best,
Random
