A forwarded SMS.
I want to know, why do you come for Fridays only? I want to know why do you come for Eid days only? I want to know why do you come for Ramadan only?I really would like to know!
And I really don’t have a reply. I am just feeling guilty. Do you have any justification?

I so wish those masjids become common who allow women also to pray..
Then I think they wouldn’t be so empty… AT least jis ko parhna ho, woh to aiga..
But yes, it’s a very sad situation out there

I think it because we started looking into short term favors and going masjid has inestimable favors of us but in long term ( in short term too but are hidden or we are least interested/educated to count them) and we are so much busy now a days in our lives with so called competition. Challenges, projects, success etc that we even look for short term benefits in religion.

Ash, masjids are not only the places of worship but a good and legitimate places of social gathering. You get to know people in around you. You may also know about needy people in your area and you may help them. The benefits of attending masjids are alot!

but people don’t see the masjid as you explained in your aforementioned
for most of the people its like a class room of their religious course where they think they should go either when they want to mark their attendance or want to get any guidance/solution of their problem or wanted to impress the al-mighty teacher from their deeds.
