  1. Salamalaikum

    JazakAllahu khairan for this. Indeed, a pleasent gift. I believe the first duaa quoated is not exactly a dua for morning/evening. It’s definitely a very good and common dua, but doesn’t fall under morning/evening adhkaar and also I’m not sure it’s authentically reported to recite it seven times as it says.

    Second, the fifth dua has addition of “yuh’yi wa yumeet wa huwa….” that is not found in the authentic hadith, I believe (meaning the addition not the first part). Also, this dua (the fifth one) can be recited 100 times as well if one has the strength to do it.

    The adhkaar for morning/evening are not restricted to these six ad’iya mentioned in this video. There are many more. InshaAllah, find them here: www.makedua.com If we read the meanings of these ad’iya (duas) we will come to regret the times we didn’t make these duas because anything you want to ask Allah, for hereafter and this life, seems to be these morning/evening adhkaar.

    Lastly, the best time to recite these duas is right after fajr prayers and until the shurooq (rising of sun). Some scholars, in fact, say that by ‘morning’ it’s meant before shurooq. Some say it’s until right before zuhur prayers. But, all agree that the best time to recite is after fajr prayers before you get up to do anything else.

    Similarly, best evening time is after ‘Asr prayers until just before Maghrib adhaan. Other scholars say the time is all the way into the night (past ‘Isha). But, again the best time is after ‘Asr and before Maghrib. In either case (morning or evening) if one can’t recite these adhkaar in the recommended time (before sunrise/before Maghrib), then he/she should still recite them after sunrise/Maghrib.

  2. Assalam o alaikum,
    @Ibrahim
    thanks for your input,

    I confirmed the first dua,it is a masnoon dua,written under the heading of”khas maghrib aur fajar ki namaz k baad parhnay ki duaen” in Hesn Haseen.
    and the count of this dua is the same written as such,that is seven times,before talking to anybody.

    Sister Hina, Jazaki Allahu khairan for your input. Could you provide me the reference for this dua from Hesn Haseen. What reference is given and what grading for the hadith is given?

    As far as I know, the hadith in which this dua is narrated is in the musnad of Imam Ahmed and the sunan of Imam Abu Dawood. But, this hadith is a weak hadith. And, hence when it comes to specifically reciting it after fajr and maghrib, then that’s not recommended. It’s best to avoid all weak ahadith in all cases (as Imam ibnul Mubarak and other imams had said), but some scholars say it’s ok to use it when it comes to Fadhaail (and such would be the case here). This is probably the reason for the writer of Hesn Haseen to include it or he is mistaken in the grading of the hadith.

    In any case, we should make lots of dua. And, this particular dua should also be made as long as it’s not restricted to only after fajr and maghrib. I try to make it all the time, especially when in sajdah during the prayers.
