Instead of helping us, it would take us astry. Just like our sunni brothers started to compete with shias and started 'taziey' 'alam' etc etc. Infact we should celebrate Islam Life and Muslim Life and + we should make every day a mothers day and fathers day + every day we should try to gain more knowledge about our deen. + every day we should read a bit of Quran and understand the meanings. + every day we should think that this is our last day of life and then we should make certain to take the best out of it and gain more reward from Allah. Lets not celebrate Islam day or Muslim day, infact it would be a copy cat. Instead of helping us, it would take us astry.

Having an Islam day would actually be good for many of us, it would actually be the only day in the year to give religion some thought - as religion has been dumped and abandoned by us much like the old parents mentioned above.
