Adnan,

I have high respect for Saeed Anwar, but there is a mixup here. The Tableeghee Jamats who go international, barely understand or speak local languages (Even English). They can't communicate, how can they "TABLEEGH". But I keep hearing their stories from my brothers in Tableeghi Jamat as if Islam is spreading in the west because of the Tableeghee Jamat. This is not true. Mostly its the curiosity of the people and then there are good practicing Muslims, who work or go to school or do business there and do not let temptation run them. Besides there are so many other organizations and Masajids doing tableegh and they know how to communicate well.

I once told a visiting Jamat, why they don't learn the local language to communicate (English). The answer was we came here to invite you (Muslim) who understand our language. It was enough to shut me up, but the truth was they didn't want to consider ways to improve their efforts.

After saying this, I would like to clarify that I'm not saying Tableeghi Jamat has no results. They do a good job in Pakistan and other Muslim, I have seen many youth who were once gone astray but they joined Tableeghee jamat and became better than what they were and I would admit they are atleast better than me.

Khalid,

I 20000% agree with your point about communication barriers that's why old tableeghis are willing more to use those tablighis who know foreign languages as well. people like junaid jamshed, saqlain, mushtaq ahmad and several other professional engineers doing same. Plus this is not 100% true that only Pakistanis are busy in tableegh. My friend's brother is in germany. several other tableeghis over there tableegh in German language. There might be cases when some "short tempered" person replied rudely but mostly this is not the case.

as far as taking credit of tableegh, preachers like Tariq jamil, haji wahab sahab and several others don't take this credit. Tableegh did play part but there are other factors as well. Bush's lame policies were also helpful to spread Islam more which really was not their wish. as Allah says in SUrah Al-Imran:

"they planned and Allah planned and Allah is the best planner"

ASSALAM O ALAIKUM

Khalid,

The people you come across in local are people who dont have that much knowledge of other languages but when they go on international visit, then they take people with them who speak English or natives there. My uni fella who is a software engineer by profession and had achieved distinctions in his time did join tableeghi jummat after graduation. He knew english, arabic etc.. so he was sent on international delegation for being an engineer by profession and knowing english too..
I even know one WING COMMANDER who goes on foreign most of the time.. Its just their willingness towards good work which helps them out in their good returns..
