“Don’t abuse our Ataturk otherwise..”-Secular style of freedom of expression

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

A liberal became a victim of Secularism. From BBC:

A Turkish court has handed down a 15-month suspended jail term to an academic found guilty of insulting the state’s founder, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.

Professor Atilla had offended Turkishness a.ka Secularism by saying that early Turkish republic was not as progessive as it’s potrayed in textbooks. The statement was not tolerated by champions of freedom that is seculars & liberal govt and order to punish the professor to offend Ataturk’s vision.

Seculars and liberals always make lame attempts to prove themselves progressive, tolerant, modern and lover of freedom of expression. Seculars also don’t waste a minute to condemn their oponents i.e: those who follow religon and label them as extremist, fundamentalist or Mullah. Seculars also criticize their oponents as backward since they can’t face the criticism at all. Our made in Pakistan seculars even didn’t hesitate to label Jinnah as a secularist.

The professor further says:

I want to emphasise again and again that Turkey’s most pressing problem is freedom of expression

huh? no freedom in a SECULAR state? is he kidding?is it not true that seculars’ basic agenda to promote their relgion is Freedom of exrpression which they think was not provided by ANY religion thus promote seperation of church and state? Turkey is considered Vatican for Seculars and Liberals and they always sing praises of Turkey and always presented as ideal state where secularism is ACTUALLY implemented. So what if such things happen in Turkey and are not accepted by secularists. Hey! they still love freedom of expresion(about things which they despise) so if our in-house lefist can’t accept criticism then it should be ignored. itna chalta hay :-)

Such news have always proved my point that lefts who always promoted themselves champion of women rights, religions lovers and champion of freedom of expression are not less pathetic, moronic and fascist than those right wing guys who don’t like to listen oponents’ point of view. Pakistan needs to getrid of both kind of filth.

So my humble advice and request to all left-wingers(Seculars,Liberals,Humanist etc etc) here and there to first getrid of their own leftist fascist and extremist then come forward and criticize others to prove themselves a bit credible otherwise it’s darn funny and stupid to oppose something which they themselves promote one way or another.

Gilchrist retires

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

Australian wicket keeper and one of my favorite batsman Adam Gilchrist decided to quit the game of Cricket. From telegraph

I have come to this decision after much thought and discussion with those important to me.”

Gilchrist recently made the world record of 414th dismissal. He played 96 test matches and made 5,556 runs. Watching Gilchrist’s batting was always a wonderful experience for me. Below is the video of his performance in which he made 2nd fastest test century:

The way he used to face Akram was outstanding. Wasim Akram also admitted in an interview that Gilchrist was one of very very few batsmen who faced him easly. In the end, a classic moment when Gilchrist faced Akram in worldcup 99 match.

Surely Gilly will be missed. He gave a new name to wicket keeping. Good luck dude!

Poll Results:Why do you offer Salat(prayers) ?

Monday, January 21st, 2008

Long time back on my old blog, I created a poll in which I asked some questions from my blog readers about reasons for offering Prayers/Salat/Namaz. This is a never ending poll so it’s still active. I just visited my old site and checked poll results. Something like following actually appeared.

As I was expecting, majority of people voted for 1st option. Very few dared to vote for 3,4,5 and 6. Only Allah knows how many out of 190 actually lied. :-)

Incase, if you are wondering what were my options, I voted for first Seven options. Obviously I did these things that’s why I asked others. :p Actually I went thru different phases in my life so I covered all of them. Like I got regular to near by masjid at age of 14 when I got a crush for a girl in my mohallah, sounds weired, does it? but it’s true. When I spent further time on earth and got into practical life then initially I offered prayers to show off. I wanted to leave a good impact on my peers. By that time I had quit offering Namaz in masjid regularly and used to offer Friday prayers in masjid only. I also offered prayers to impress my family members. Yes at times I offered Salat in office to kill time since there was nothing to do so offered namaz. Now I think I have reached to the stage where I can stick on option 1 & 7 *smile*

So all those who opted from options 2-5 , a big salute for them since they are pretty honest and Inshallah this honesy would lead them to something better where they would not need to mention these things and would offer prayers for the purpose which was mentioned by Allah. Remember me in prayers

Tu kal chala jaye ga tu mey kia karoun ga-Mush misses Bush

Saturday, January 19th, 2008

No I am not kiding. Recently our President General(retard) Musharraf said he would  miss Bush after Presidential election. Jang reports:

Junaid Jamshed’s journey from Music to Religion

Friday, January 18th, 2008

A touching story. A difficult journey, specially for an ignorant singer. A bayan in which he revealed everything about his conversion
AND I MUST SALUTE AYESHA, wife of Junaid. Junaid really had done some naiki in past that Allah blessed him with such a wonderful wife. I would be very very very lucky if I am blessed with such a wonderful religious life partner in life. Allah I think said something following for such pious women.

On the Day you see the believing men and believing women, their light proceeding before them and on their right, [it will be said], “Your good tidings today are [of] gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide eternally.” That is what is the great attainment.(Quran 57:12)

A man usually is forced for opting path of evil due to WISHLIST of his wife and children. This is why Allah clearly said in Quran that our wives and kids are the biggest test for us. Really, I say again that one should feel quite fortunate to such life partner, how could one get misguided in presence of such wonderful partner?

Part-1

Part-2

part-3

And I do agree with Junaid that impact of evil is beyond than any boundaries.

I am very arrogant person and I don’t like to request everyone for something but first time, I am requesting you and BEGGING you to listen these bayans once regardless of you agree with Junaid’s point of view, his approach because he has just explained a journey of ignorant like many of us nothing else. So please do listen it once, if it not giving you any benefit than it’s not harmful for you either.

Pakistan govt introduce a new kind of SME

Tuesday, January 15th, 2008

These Chitralis would be very thankful to our govt that gave them chance to expose their entrepreneur skills. Loadsheding is like blessing for power generator owner since he’s able to earn Rs.10/mobile set. I must commend the guy who came up with this idea of earning money. Who says govt is not providing chances to poor of my country to earn money? This is practical example trickle-down effect which Shoky used to mention everytime in his statements. So cheerup, we are moving ahead!

Embracing Islam: An amazing aussie story

Sunday, January 13th, 2008

Jazakallah my friend Ahmad for sharing this awesome piece.

Part-1:

Part-2:

How can I have my own opinion when Quran is the word of God?

- The spirit which we Muslims have really forgot. The motivational factor.

A story which brought tears in my eyes, specially in 2nd part when he got disappointed after not seeing any sign and opened the Quran. A MUST WATCH. Such stories makes me realize how thankless I am that I am born Muslim, yet I don’t respect this religion at all. What a thankless soul I am. *shakes head*

No words to say. All I am going to quote what might Allah says in Quran:

The truth is from your Lord, so whoever wills - let him believe; and whoever wills - let him disbelieve.” Indeed, We have prepared for the wrongdoers a fire whose walls will surround them. And if they call for relief, they will be relieved with water like murky oil, which scalds [their] faces. Wretched is the drink, and evil is the resting place.(Quran 18:29)

Snow in Baghdad

Friday, January 11th, 2008

Iraqis enjoyed snow fall first time in real life.

Whether it’s due to Global warming or something else, for me it’s better than blood in Baghdad.
