Musharraf’s “Talibans” in action

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

Our President General (Retardired) Pervaiz Musharraf despises Talibans and Talibanization and he has expressed his concerns numerous times in various interviews

What is Talibanization? West say something like following is an example of Talibanization and says Talibans mishandle women.

Now see the following picture:

The above picture was not shot in Afghanistan nor these guys are Talibans in *western* outfits. These are policemen who attacked on these poor ladies who were protesting for freedom of judiciary. Do you find any other difference? If picture in Afghanistan is an example of Talibanization then what’s that? Musharraf-ism? Which kind of Talibanzation Musharraf opposes? Somebody tell Musharraf that Talibanisation had already penetrated in Pakistan back in 1999 when he took the charge by kicking out another corrupt person from the country. Musharraf should be worried more about these local talibans a.k.a his advisors first before running after guys in shalwar Kameez and turbans.

Musharraf says:

Talibanization and extremism, however, represents a state of mind and requires more comprehensive, long-term strategy where military action must be combined with a political approach and socioeconomic development,” he added.

How true!! The picture above represents a state of mind. The practical example of liberal fascism and extremism.

Ten Days of Dhul-Hijjah

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

My Friend and former colleague shared following piece via email which is worth reading.  Read below:

Among the special seasons of worship are the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, which Allah has preferred over all the other days of the year. Ibn ‘Abbas (radiAllahu anhu) reported that the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said:

“There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.” The people asked, “Not even jihad for the sake of Allah?” He said, “Not even jihad for the sake of Allah except in the case of a man who went out to fight giving himself and his wealth up for the cause, and came back with nothing.”
[Sahih al-Bukhari]

Ibn ‘Abbas (radiAllahu anhu) also reported that the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said:
“There is no deed more precious in the sight of Allah, nor greater in reward, than a good deed done during the ten days of Sacrifice.” He was asked, “Not even jihad for the sake of Allah?” He said, “Not even jihad for the sake of Allah, except in the case of a man who went out to fight giving himself and his wealth up for the cause, and came back with nothing.”
[Sahih al-Bukhari]

Ibn ‘Abbas (radiAllahu anhu) also reported that the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said:
“There is no deed more precious in the sight of Allah, nor greater in reward, than a good deed done during the ten days of Sacrifice.” He was asked, “Not even jihaad for the sake of Allah?” He said, “Not even jihad for the sake of Allah, except in the case of a man who went out to fight giving himself and his wealth up for the cause, and came back with nothing.”
[al-Darimi]

These texts and others indicate that these ten days are better than all the other days of the year, with no exceptions, not even the last ten days of Ramadan. But the last ten nights of Ramadan are better, because they include Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Power), which is better than a thousand months.

We should know that the virtue of these ten days is based on many things:

1- Allah swears an oath by them, and swearing an oath by something is indicative of its importance and great benefits. Allah says: “By the dawn; by the ten nights”
[al-Fajr 89:1-2]

Ibn’Abbas (radiAllahu anhu) and others said this refers to the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah. Ibn Kathir said: “This is the correct opinion.”

2- The Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) testified that these are the best days of this world.
[see above ahadith]

3- The Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) encouraged people to do righteous deeds because of the virtue of this time for people throughout the world, and also because of the virtue of the place - for the Hujjaaj (Pilgrims) to the Sacred House of Allah.

4- The Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) commanded us to recite a lot of Tasbeeh (SubbanAllah), Tahmeed (Alhahu akbar) during this time.

Ibn Umar (radiAllahu anhu) reported that the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said: “There are no days greater in the sight of Allaah and in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Him than these ten days, so during this time recite a great deal of Tahleel (Lailaha illAllah) Takbeer and Tahmeed.”
[Ahmad]

5- These ten days include the Day of Arafah on which Allah perfected His Religion. Fasting on this day will expiate for the sins of two years. These days also include the Day of Sacrifice (Nahr), the greatest day of Hajj, which combines acts of worship in a way unlike any other day.

6- The one who offers a sacrifice must stop cutting his hair and nails and not remove anything from his skin, from the beginning of the ten days until after he has offered his sacrifice, because the Prophet (saw) said: “When you see the new moon of Dhul-Hijjah, if any one of you wants to offer a sacrifice, then he should stop cutting his hair and nails until he has offered his sacrifice.”
[Muslim]

According to another report he said: ‘He should not remove (literally, touch) anything from his hair or skin.’

This prohibition applies only to the one who is offering the sacrifice, not to his wife and children, unless any of them is offering a sacrifice in his or her own right, because the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) used to sacrifice “one behalf of the family of Muhammad.” There are no reports that say he forbade them to cut their hair or nails at that time.

One must understand that these ten days are a great blessing from Allah to His slave. It is the Muslim’s duty to appreciate this and make the most of the opportunity, by striving hard to increase in worship.

Among His blessings to His slaves, Allah has given us many ways in which to do good and worship Him, so that the Muslim may be constantly active and consistent in the worship of his Lord.

Performing Hajj and Umarh

One of the best deeds that one can do during these ten days is to perform Hajj to the sacred House of Allah. The one whom Allah helps to go on Hajj to His House and to perform all the rituals properly is included in the words of the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam):
“An accepted Hajj brings no less a reward than Paradise”

Doing good deeds as these are beloved by Allah and will bring a great reward from Him. Whoever is not able to go to Hajj should occupy himself at this blessed time by worshipping Allah, paying, reading Qur’an, remembering Allah, making supplication, giving charity, honouring his parents, upholding the ties of kinship, enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil, and other acts of worship.

We should ensure that we do not miss any of these important occasions. We need to prepare ourselves by doing good deeds which will bring us reward when we are most in need of it, for no matter how much reward we earn, we will find it is less than we need.

2nd E-idul Adha in 2007.

BTW, none of cows in picture would be less than Rs.30,000 at all.

I am not so fond of going Mandi to buy animals for Qurbani but whenever I went, I did enjoy. This is something which I think no guy would disagree who go Mandi to buy animal. I have been quite busy due to office work therefore I am not going with my cousins this time. Hope they would buy some good Janwar in reasonable price.

Shariah which we don’t know

Friday, December 14th, 2007

It’s fashion these days to talk against Islamic Shariah or Shariah and prove yourself a learned and enligthened soul no matter whether one even knows “ABC” of Shariah or not. Following article appeared in today’s Jang. This is about Caliph Omar(RA) and Judiciary.

Click the image for clear view.

When Blair was questioned by Police, it was apprecited by us by declaring West as a civilized nation where judiciary is respected by everyone including serving PM. We also then criticized Muslims or Mullahs that they screwed us up by keep pushing us to follow backward and obselete Shariah otherwise Western laws are more modern and applicable in today’s world. Such ignorants don’t know that what Blair did now was done long time back by more powerful and dominant Muslim ruler Caliph Omar(RA) in His tenure.

How cruel and stupid we are. At one side we don’t make efforts to read our history while on other hand we argue about something which never learnt seriously at all.

What’s so special about Shakar parian?

Sunday, December 9th, 2007

So this evening i got chance to visit the famous Shakar parian and trust me it didn’t impress me at all. No offense Islooites but I am just sharing what I felt. Maybe my taste is not so good or I was expecting something exceptional? climbing up on hills, resturants etc.. that’s it. This is something I have expereinced at Hill Park, well not similar to Shakar Parian but things were not so new for me. The less polluted weather was offcourse something good but nothing else. Things mention here are not so exciting for Karachiites, atleast for me. I might visit Daman-e-Koh in next trip which i think gives much better view of the city than Shakar parian’s hill top.

“Cho Lo Zindagi”-in Islamabad

Friday, December 7th, 2007

While going to NIIT in Chaklala,Rawalpindi for IBM training via Islamabad Highway, my colleague brought my attention towards a signboard of Touch condoms. This is something which was new for me, atleast I personally didn’t notice a signboard of condoms advertisement in Karachi. The slogan was hilarious, Choo Lo Zindagi. Since we are living under the umbrella of enlightenement and moderation, i think it should be, Choo Lo Roshankhyal Zindagi, Musharraf k hatoun.
