Who’s actually misguided?

Yesterday I came across this news on BBC in which one of the arrested Pakistani troop came up with following statement:
I surrendered because I realised that I was only fighting fellow Muslims,” said Shafiullah, a soldier from Dargai area.
When I read that, it reminds me several voices which I have heard many times who never got tired by saying that Mullah or Jehadist organizations just made money by sending youth to fight against their own Muslim brothers and they are misguided because they kill their own people. One of our well-wishers got so mad that he even made a movie by condemning everyone whom he disagreed.
Now the question is, who is misguiding these soldiers? are they being misled by Jehadists or fascists within government who are actually sending their own brothers to face their own brothers? It’s better you think of yourself and make efforts to find answer. The fact is that whether they are Talibans or Northern Alliance, Pakistani Army or Waziristan Tribesmen, there are things common between all of them. They follow same ALLAH. They recite same Kalima. This is the reason Pakistani soldier had to come up with something like that:
I surrendered because I realised that I was only fighting fellow Muslims
Saif is right. A true Muslim soldier will never aim his rifle towards other Muslim person.

It’s a matter of priorities - nationalism vs. religious affiliations. I think Islam was meant to be a nation by itself, the nation of Islam, but since we are trying to separate religion and state, so one has to choose. Some choose the former, others choose the later. Its not just our country that needs prayer, its the whole (non)nation of Islam.

and true soldier will never aim…..
oh well! what about Jang-e-Jamul and other battles fought between the two parties of muslims in the golden age of Islam???
I tell you what it has to do with ethnic bond rather than Islamic ties between the two parties i.e Army and the so-called Jehadis, Pushtoons against pushtoon no way man!
your premise is just ridiculous, in islamic caliphate, muslim army did fight against muslims who challenged the writ of the state.

its so lame you re comparing Jang-e-Juml with this fight? you might even say that Ali(RA) and Mowaiya(RA) can’t be companions because they faught each other?
regardless of pashtoon ,punjabi or whatever. The point was, if Jehadists are blamed to fight with muslims then Fascists of left are more cunning and doing same.

Very right shoaib
mazaaq doesnt know much abt religion. Muslims have fought against muslims but only when they were weak acting on islam. Dont count Jang-e-Jamul and other wars like that into it
Sahab (RA) were like princes. The decision between the princes can only be decided by king i.e. ALLAH and ALLAH has already mentioned in the Quraan that
“Razi ALLAHu Anhu wa Razu Unh”. (Main un say razi, woh mujh say razi)

The writ of the state was on the unjustified things like when Ibn-e-tolon fought wid Abbasi khilafah. Abbasis were not treating egypt and syria very well.

I’m really glad to see this now i hope the same from the other side. when musilm as whole will realize that weterens don’t wnat war with Islam they want war within the Islam.Centuries old tatic of Britishers “Divide & Rule” has got new name and makeup by the Americans “War within” and using to label or break up Islam into the “isms” e.g Extremisim, Libralism etc. and forcing musilms to choose either one brand of Islam and start fighting with other one and in result only US backed undemocratic regimes are thriving (like musharraf regime)they will continue thier dirty job for thier masters and never let us unite on the name of “Just Islam”.
