Incase you are wondering…

Friday, November 30th, 2007

I am in Islamabad for more than a week. It’s been raining here. Weather is chilled and me too ;). Unfortunately I don’t have good camera or mobile cam so can’t capture pictures at all. I don’t think I have anything to blog from here. My IBM Websphere training is starting from Monday and will be busy for a week!

Till then, tata..

War of Independence 2007

Monday, November 26th, 2007

The picture you are seeing above is not a digitized version of images from War of Independence which was fought between United India and British Raj in 1857. The picture is about journalists’ protest at Karachi Press Club on 20th November,2007 who were beaten like hell by police officials of Musharraf Raj.

Incase if you are wondering what am I talking about, see below the picture taken from Wikipedia about Indian Rebellion in 1857.

Dengue fever cure with Papaya Leaves

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

It might not be new for many but atleast it’s for me. I got this via email. Read below:

I would like to share this interesting discovery from a classmate’s son who has just recovered from dengue fever. Apparently, his son was in the critical stage at the SJMC ICU when his platelet count dropped to 15 after blood transfusion also.

His father was so worried that he sought another friend’s recommendation and his son was saved. He confessed to me that he give his son raw juice of the papaya leaves. From a platelet count as low as 45 after blood transfusion, it jumped to 135 after drinking the raw papaya leaf juice. Even the doctors and nurses were surprised. After the second day he was discharged. So he asked me to pass this good news around.

Accordingly it is raw papaya leaves 2 pcs just clean and pound and squeeze the juice thro cloth filter. You will only get one tablespoon per leaf. So, use two tablespoons per serving once a day. No need to boil or cook or rinse with hot water, it will lose its strength. Only the leafy part has to be taken, no stem or sap. It is very bitter and you have to swallow it. But it works wonders!!!!

Papaya Juice - Cure for Dengue

You may have heard this elsewhere, but if not, I am glad to inform you that papaya juice is a natural cure for dengue fever. As dengue fever is rampant now, I think it’s good to share this with all.

A friend of mine had dengue last year. It was a very serious situation for her as her platelet count had dropped to 28,000 after 3 days in hospital and water had started to fill in her lungs. She had difficulty in breathing. She was only 32-years old. Doctor said there’s no cure for dengue. We just have to wait for her body immune system to build up resistance against dengue and fight its own battle.

She already had 2 blood transfusions and all of us were praying very hard as her platelet continued to drop since the first day she was admitted.

Fortunately her mother-in-law heard that papaya juice would help to reduce the fever and got some papaya leaves, pounded them and squeezed the juice out for her. The next day, her platelet count started to increase, her fever subsided. She was given papaya juice regularly and she recovered after 3 days!!! Amazing but true.

Papaya juice has a cooling effect thus, it helps to reduce the heat in one’s body. I found that its also good when one is having sore throat.

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

I got this news from Islamabad Metroblog who refers Jang website that famous actor Shafi Muhammad Shah passed away. Innah lillahye Waina Alahye Rjioon.

Shafi was a versalite actor. His soft spoken accent was his quality. Chaand girhan and Aanch are two serials which I personally liked a lot.

May Allah rest him in peace and give Sabr to his Family-Ameen.

“Did I go mad?”, the general asks

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

An interesting interview taken by BBC correspondent which indicates his current state of mind. According to BBC Musharraf asks:

Have I done anything constitutionally illegal? Yes, I did it on 3 November,” he said, referring to his imposition of emergency rule. “But did I do it before? Not once.”

while on other hand he’s asking:

Did I go mad? Or suddenly, my personality changed? Am I Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde?”

It did give me laugh. He’s actually admitting he did something Illegal and then he’s unsure about is insanity. Interesting! *shakes head*

Information Age or Stone age?

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

As many of you might know that Musharraf regime put a ban on Pakistani govt private media after Emergency and blamed them ONE of the core reason of imposed Emergency Plus Martial law. People of Pakistan have been forced to go back to PTV era. As this is curious nature of humans, more you stop them from something, more they resist such bans and try to find out reasons to hide something from them. This was the human nature which was one of the reason of spreading Islam in US despite of several efforts by Bush regime. Musharraf is following same path of ignorance and stupidity and believes that he was doing right while Pakistanis on other hand become more active to watch such news channels which they might not be paying attention much in past. Pakistanis rejected this baised Imposition of media ban by showing their reaction when they started buying Dish Antennas. Mush regime couldn’t bear it either and ordered officials to ban sale of Dish Antenna as well.

The picture you are seeing above was published in today’s Jang in which a Nomad is busy in reading a paper. It shows how an ordinary man is hungry to get informaton. For a moment I found this picture funny but later I realized that I am just making fun of myself. I didn’t find myself different than this nomad who is living in a pipe. I am also living in a shell of Martial law and have been forced to rely on newspapers only. No free media for me anymore. The naked body of this man actually reflecting the naked truth that we have been pushed back in ancient time by using dictator’s Time Machine where people used to lead life in caves. Do you see how careless he is about the internal decor of his home? We are no different than him, have no interest about the filth around us and yet busy in earning money and have food. Just like this nomad who have no issue whether he eats thing in broken pots. Infact this nomad is better than us. Unlike us, he’s living within a single shell while we have been trying to hide ourself behind the several layers of ignorance, arrogance, stpudity and illetracy and yet we feel proud of. I don’t know what making us proud while we 16 billions Pakistanis are not better than this  naked nomad.
