“Where is my Protection bill?”-these women ask
Remember Musharraf’s famous Women Protection bill which was proposed to fool our elite and liberal class and making them to believe that all women’s issues have been sorted out by their messiah Mr.Musharraf who helped him to getrid of cruel Hudood Ordinance ?
But it’s also not a hidden secret how much our President cares about Women or Pakistani Women. Mr. Shaukat Aziz, the PM of Pakistan were always sweet and soft spoken with ladies and displayed his soft corner for women when he met Dr.Rice 2 years back.
I already shared in the beginning of this year what actually meant by “Women Rights” in Musharraf’s dictionary. That was just the beginning. Last month and then current month I came across two pieces of info which just strengthened my belief about Musharraf’s menality about diginity of Women.
First news is about a french scholar who was visiting Pakistan due to her research work and her stuff was stolen in Thatta. Later it was found that the lady was beaten like hell when she went to police station to inquire about her stolen material.

This was Jang news almost a month ago. What’s written there is beyong the exception. The male officials including SHO torutred the woman so much that she got fainted due to severe beating. Later officials locked the woman up in jail. I find no updates what happened to her and where’s she now.
The second news is actually two images about female supporters of PML(N) who were protesting on 12th October,2007 against Musharraf’s 1999’s military coup. This is something which I had see in papers, the practical implementation of Women Protection Bill.

Can you see guys? this is the freedom which our liberal women wants, this is what Musharraf wants. Don’t you see how much a group of women(policewomen) feel freedom to swing another woman because she was protesting against Musharraf? No No! trust me guys I am not being sarcastic at all. I am simply appreciating the freedom which is being demonstrated by these women.
Mr. President, these women are idiots, have no sense at all. They don’t know you have established women police cell with more power so that they have access to offend take care other women just like our policemen do. Don’t listen to them. After all you are actually a Saffak Maseeha of Faiz Ahmad Faiz.

AoA,
Totally agree with on this one!
This is indeed very shocking and very humiliating…No woman in Pakistan is safe.
If these lady police women are treating women like this, picking them up on all four instead of using a civilized method !! then God Forbid… i don’t want to think how our men police handle women.

So if someone posts a video of Taliban beating women, you might very well say, “The video is fake”, or “Oh, I can explain that!”

“whydont u have courage to condemn what u saw above?”

Don’t try to be a god that you can read my mind;)

being silly? I said this because you didn’t say anything about the TOPIC[pictures] I posted above.

uniaza i can’t read your mind so plz enlighten me if i got u wrong.Firstly are u trying to say that peoples other than TALIBANS have rigth to beat womens in such a way because there’s a video of Taliban beating womens so where’s the difference why only so called Talibans are bad.Secondly diverting the main issue of protection Bill to the video of Taliban beating womens can’t hide the crimes of the “liberal fanatics” it’s really very cheap trick.Thirdly majority of Pakistani peoples have condemned the action of Talibans and it seems from ur comments as well so its time to stop saying ifs & buts and speak against the another kind of Talibans because writer has given every info & proof.WRONG ACTIONS DONE BY ANY GROUP MUST BE CONDEMNED WETHER YOU FEEL UR SELF CLOSE TO THAT GROUP OR NOT.

The writer of this analytical article happens to be a great fan of Taliban, and it was just a sequel of a previous discussion on a certain blog. Secondly, I did not endorse anyone’s action. I was just exposing the hypocrisy of some who struggle from head to toe to (correctly) condemn the actions of one group and completely support the same (even worse) action by others.

hahhah
right now u have just exposed your own hypocrisy by NOT condemning the MENTIONED pictures.
Unaiza, i told you before and say again. Come up with referrences(books etc) which you used to conclude about Talibans. so far u have provided nothing. Quit being an imaginary troll kid. If you want someone LISTENS you seriously then try to buildup credibility otherwise babblers re never taken seriously.
No where I said I am fan of talibans nor I said I am their enemy. What all I said that stuff which is associated with them is not proven. I asked u to provide referrence, you failed. I provided referrence on Jav’s Blog you in return started personal attacks. I here provided referrence, instead of condemning you against started attacking on me. I will just say one thing, Grow up and quit bitching. You are just losing grounds. take some classes at Ankara university how to participate on online forums and how to avoid Ad hominem fallacy.
Thanks

“Grow up and quit bitching”
That must be your “home” language, your “mother” tongue!
Tells much about your family background!!
You don’t even know how to behave in a debate, let alone to a girl. Your sisters must have been tired off of your language. And it were you who started personal attacks, (cartoon network etc.)
“You are just losing grounds.”
…and you are losing your mind, and manners.
“take some classes at Ankara university”
And you should take some montessori classes to learn some manners.

Thanks for your comment
where i said i’m the great fan of taliban read my comment again i’ve condemn the taliban’s action.I think i should use ur words with a little bit change to clearify myself:
“I was just exposing the hypocrisy of some who struggle from head to toe to condemn the actions of one group(TALIBANS) and completely silent or neglect the same action by others.(SO CALLED LIBERALS)”
If that means supporting the Talibans then u may say that i’m the great fan of Taliban.Again u didn’t condemn i can understand that u was busy in exposing the hypocrisy of some (people like me) but if the post was happened to be the taliban beating women then u would have been busy writing a long comment telling peoples
how much ISLAMIC EXTREMISM is dangerous for our socities.

lol- I knew I knew what were coming from your side. You had been doing personal attack and when I did, you reached to my family. Kindly quit using lame excuse of “Being a girl”- First try to be a *girl* then beg about yout gender discrimination. Calling me hypocrite or what not and when I used your weapon against your weaopon you went crazy. I didn’t call your Momma and siblings hypocrite. did I?tsk tsk. Trust me, none of my family females are so intolerant and illetrate that they start abusing like jahil women.
Thanks Unaiza and I say again. When you don’t have anything to proof, just keep quiet. Calling other hypocrite, extremist or what not is not going to put any weight in your statements.. It could be better if you would have taken education in Pakistan. You are boring. Better you keep bashing your head against wall. I let u set free and would prefer to follow what I read somewhere.
Never argue with a fool, they will lower you to their level and then beat you with experience. So thanks for letting me reach to your level and then defeated me.

@Naveed: leave her all alone. She will never understand at all. I quote what Sha’afi(RA) said once:
“I debated a scholar and beat him. Then I debated a layman and that layman beat me - he had no knowledge of the principles and texts. I had nothing to say” - Imam Shafi
.
so let her feel she is victorious. I made a post(may be funny) about Karachi’s Minibuses. You can follow here.

it was a shame to visit this side which talks about women protection bill but leaving the agenda the moderator and others are wasting time of others.

The situation is better in india.Speeches for the advancement of women and adequate budgetary provision are made but we shoould understand that the odds are stacked heavily against her right from conception to the moment she breathes her last. But ever so often women in India break free of the shackles of tradition and prejudice that fix them in defined roles to take on - and conquer - male bastions.
The highest national priority must be the unleashing of woman power in governance. That is the single most important source of societal energy that we have kept corked for half a century. It all comes down to political will, even for saving a mother….
