A scholar vs a Foji-’Farq Saaf Zahir hay’

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

When I read things like following, it makes me belief that no matter how much a Foji takes education, he always gets failed to getrid of dictatorship mentality. Following incident take place with Prof. Khwaja Masood, the former teacher of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz. From Jang:

Jang further reveals:

I try to summarize in English. A brig Tariq Mahmood translated the work of Famous Urdu poet Josh Maleeh Abadi. He invited his relative who is a wel known scholar and teacher of PM Shaukar Aziz. Prof. Masood criticized society by saying that Pakistan could also have a revolution if Army, politicians and bureaucrat quit hypocrisy. As you know that a dictator never listens anyone else, Brig Mahmood started abusing Prof.Masood by saying, O Silly man! get out of here. That lamer was invited as a writer and trying to be a preacher and showing off his philosphy.

Obviously it made Prof.Masood stunt and he had nothing to say against this demonstration of bad manners. Ironically no one had courage to say anything against the Foji.

Guys, when I read this, I was simply shocked! Where are we heading to? what’s wrong was said by the teacher? was He wrong? Ain’t we not hypocrite? Why to come out and teach lesson of tolerance when we don’t have one? I believe we all have become part of a society where all rules, regulations and laws are set and expected to be followed by those whom we disagree or despise.

Unfortunately Pakistan is going to be a big ‘Army Mess’ where Pakistanis are being turned to Foji who have zero tolerance and follow religion of dictatorship and guys I am not an outsider. I am also being forced to become part of it . Maybe many of us don’t know about it that we’re turning to a beast who couldn’t cope with things properly. Why? I have no idea at all. Are people protesting or standing up against it? I don’t know. am I saying anything against it? Prolly yes and these days I am being cursed because I want to stand up against such dictatorship and hypocrisy, a Civil Dicatorship and hypocrisy which is spreading like wildfire among our youth. The youth which is getting ready to feed next generation of Pakistan. Forget about Pakistan itself, first they gotta deal with their own kids.

Zainab referred an article of Dr.Najam and asked something like that. I replied Zainab that intentionally or unintentionally we are becoming a nation where we want others to follow which we wish, will never do any attempt to apply same on ourselves. Why are we being make something like that? I do have an aswer but lengthy enough which requires a seperate post or a series of post. The horrible thing is that we are becoming part of it, slowly and gradually and we don’t even have idea. We Pakistanis are at war and we don’t even know about it. Probably our enemy is unseen who is playing with our minds and defeating us. This physcolical war is leading us to no where and so far we have came out as a loser nation.

“Where is my Protection bill?”-these women ask

Sunday, October 28th, 2007

Remember Musharraf’s famous Women Protection bill which was proposed to fool our elite and liberal class and making them to believe that all women’s issues have been sorted out by their messiah Mr.Musharraf who helped him to getrid of cruel Hudood Ordinance ?

But it’s also not a hidden secret how much our President cares about Women or Pakistani Women. Mr. Shaukat Aziz, the PM of Pakistan were always sweet and soft spoken with ladies and displayed his soft corner for women when he met Dr.Rice 2 years back.

I already shared in the beginning of this year what actually meant by “Women Rights” in Musharraf’s dictionary. That was just the beginning. Last month and then current month I came across two pieces of info which just strengthened my belief about Musharraf’s menality about diginity of Women.

First news is about a french scholar who was visiting Pakistan due to her research work and her stuff was stolen in Thatta. Later it was found that the lady was beaten like hell when she went to police station to inquire about her stolen material.

This was Jang news almost a month ago. What’s written there is beyong the exception. The male officials including SHO torutred the woman so much that she got fainted due to severe beating. Later officials locked the woman up in jail. I find no updates what happened to her and where’s she now.

The second news is actually two images about female supporters of PML(N) who were protesting on 12th October,2007 against Musharraf’s 1999’s military coup. This is something which I had see in papers, the practical implementation of Women Protection Bill.

Can you see guys? this is the freedom which our liberal women wants, this is what Musharraf wants. Don’t you see how much a group of women(policewomen) feel freedom to swing another woman because she was protesting against Musharraf? No No! trust me guys I am not being sarcastic at all. I am simply appreciating the freedom which is being demonstrated by these women.

Mr. President, these women are idiots, have no sense at all. They don’t know you have established women police cell with more power so that they have access to offend take care other women just like our policemen do. Don’t listen to them. After all you are actually a Saffak Maseeha of Faiz Ahmad Faiz.

A journey to Islamabad

Saturday, October 27th, 2007

Ok I have come back to Karachi and just jotting down this post so that I don’t forget things I experienced in Islamabad. Do forgive me if you find things unlinked with previous paragraphs or statements. It will also have errors about Islamabad info so do forgive me for that mistake as well and correct me by making comments.-Thanks

Finally I was able to visit Islamabad first time in my life. Many would be surprised after reading that but I know more people would get surprised when they would learn that Islamabad is the first Pakistani city which I have visited in my life!(don’t I sound like a true and loyal Karachiite? hehe ). Incase one would like to know reason, I have one answer; I never got chance neither found any reason to visit. Have gone outside of Pakistan but this was my first ever trip for other Pakistani city and Inshallah I hope I will be able to visit more cities in future.

My Islamabad trip was an official trip on 24th October, 2007. It was so much official that I didn’t get chance to vist the place which you are seeing in above picture. The Faisal Masjid.

It was only a three days trip. I reached Islamabad around 12:45 PM. The current Islamabad Airport is comparitively very simple than Karachi’s Jinnah terminal. I had read about new Airport constrution somewhere near Zeropoint(?). I hope that airport would have all latest facilities available. I went via Airblue flight which is very good airline service so far in Pakistan. Educate host and hostesses, nice and fresh food and safer flight! Something which you can’t say about PIA anymore. I was not alone. I had my two seniors along with me. we were travelling in business class sos didn’t have much passengers so in order to balance the load, they allowed passengers from economy class to get in. I was sleepy so I tried to take some nap and fortunately I was able to take naps during flight. I suddenly wokeup due to conversation between two women behind our seat. First I thought that they were hostesses who were busy in their cabin which was behind my seat. When I woke up for meal and saw on right, I found a familiar chinese face of the woman who was wearing glasses (Pretty Zinta style) and busy in listening music. When I asked my friend,he told me that she’s a model but I remembered I had seen her in some program, my friend further increased my knowledged that the woman was Sophia Chee, A chinese living i Pakistan for loong time and now host of a TV show. I don’t know whether it’s just another fashion among models or burgers or she was too natural that she was sitting on seat like any Pakistani villager that is keeping leg(s) on seat. The other woman with her was a Pakistani and they might be travelling for official purpose too. I also saw actor Humayun Saeed and Abdullah Kadwani at Karachi Airport when I was waiting for other colleagues. Humayoun Saeed looks like a gaint. I must say he looks much better on TV than real life.

Ok, back to the topic. No, when did I go off topic? the topic is Journey to Islamabad so covering things from beginning :D

As I was telling, I found ISB airport very simple. My office is in Sector G-6. First thing I noticed in Islamabad that there were no rickshaws and Buses . First I thought that there were some strike but later I was told that there was no such concept in Islamabad. People use either vans or private suzuki cars as Public Transport. I think this is the main reason other than lots of trees Islamabad has wayyy less pollution than Karachi. Khair we were heading to our office. The other noticeable thing I found was a hill which reminded me famous Hollywood Sign was Jinnah’s golden words(Unity, faith and discipline) on some Hill along with his picture. I don’t know the name of that place. I don’t remember I saw any other thing prominent, all I remember I was seeing different signs of locations on roads like Rawat, Gangaal East and Gangaal West. That gangaal name just reminded me PTV drama Janjaal Pura, hehe.

Both sides of roads have trees and trees and trees. So much green stuff just remind me a Biiiiig park in the form of city for Jogging purpose. :-) . Oh between there is grand park in Islamabad which is as big as a sector in Islamabad. If I am not wrong, the sector is F-9, correct me if I am wrong.

My other colleagues had visited our Islamabad office and ISB city lots of time but that was my first trip. We were dropped direcltly at office. After Salam dua with ISB team, Me and other pals just got busy at work and left office around 9:00 PM! yeah no rest at all! I was hungry and unlike our Karachi team, poor ISB team had no fixed time for lunch. I protested my senior who also came with me that I wanted to eat something. My other member of Karachi team and few guys of ISB team got up around 4:00 PM to eat some stuff. We headed towards Melody, it’s actually a food park and very good concept which is similar to Food court concept in Karachi. Unlike Karachi food courts, the Melody park was an open area and was looking quite natural. People say right tht Islamabad is expensive, the chicken role which’s worth is no more than Rs.40 in Karachi was being sold in Rs.60 in Islamabad and trust me, the taste was not outclass or exceptional and better than roles one could try at Silver Spoon Hussainabad,Karachi. I bought a chicken role and Banana shake. I felt hunger again around 9:00 PM. The guys decided to go Savour Foods which I heard a LOT by my other peers who used to go ISB frequently. One of my senior despise that place a lot. The way they used to discuss savour, I had impression that they visit some Dhabba in Islamabad which is very cheap so they call it Saver but got surprised when I saw the building which is actually owned by Emaar Group and 3 floors were under use of Savour Guys. The story of this resturant is very interesting. More than a decade ago, the owner had bought ticket(s) of Asif Zardari’s famous savour Raffle Scheme and he got a prize. He started the busines with that money. His hard work and Allah’s blessings made him millionaire and now he runs a big resturant. The thing which surprised me more that one could have Pulao(Chawal) as Garebi in that resturant. That is, you can ask as much chawal as you want beside the actual double or single plate dish. If I remember, the full name of Resturant is Savour Pulao and its famous due to its Pulao which consist of boiled rice with some color, chicken pieces and two Shami Kebabs, that’s it. I liked this new taste of chawal and being a hard core fan of Biryani, the pulao didn’t disappoint me at all.

The other thing which I noticed myself and just had read in papers that I found people NOT violating signals even there was no car on other roads and time was around 11:00 PM! I was told that the credit goes to Motorway Police who made ISLOO drivers civilized. The thing is that motorway police is not some other creatures on earth. They are just paid good enough salary(was told that low rank official earns upto RS.25,000/month) so they don’t get corrupted by bribes. The other factor is that they all are graduates. Though our assembly is graduate too but in ignorance and stupidity. I was told that same Motorway police is in Lahore now and training lahoris how to drive and follow traffic rules. I can just hope they come to Karachi, they will earn millions of prayers by Karachiites.

As I told you that I didn’ have time to go for outing and only outing I had was to go out for food or back to Guest house. Since I am fond of food stuff so did get chance to try few famous Islamabadi things. Like I tried Mango Shake with Icecream with the Bakery called Rahat. The shake was too good though I didn’t have enough room to try stuff from Rahat Bakery. I didn’t go inside the place but God! the bakery was looking very well decorated and I personally didn’t find any such well decorated bakery in Karachi. Our guest house was in Sector G-9 if I am not wrong, all I know that there is a food place called Karachi Company which locals pronounce as Karachi Kompany which was near to my guest house( i think it was named as Orion something). We chose the short cut which went thru a patch of jungle and crossed the small canal with the help of bridge. It reminded me the famous song, sanu nehar walay pull te bula k maahi kithey rah gaya. The place was looking so weired and romantic as well. Weired in a sense that there was too much darkness in the absence of street lights and we were going from a place where I was just hearing different sound of bats and other creatures and romantic because it was calm and there was a moon on sky. I was cursing that why the heck I am going with my peers rather with some beautiful soul :-).

Anyway after crossing the area we were on main roads. I found pushcarts of shoes and chappals and surprisingly they were selling good sandals in very cheap prices. I didn’t buy since I already had a pair of sandals back at home.

Finally I reached Karachi Company another open place. The place was like parking area of Clifton Center, if one start using the area as sitting arrangment for customers then you would have something like I saw at that Karachi Company place. I don’t know why do they call it Karachi company but all I saw that it was live like any other food place in Karachi even after 10:00 PM. We decided to sit inside the resturant since whether was getting chilled and I was just in jeans and t-shirt, so my other two colleagues. I have a habit(good or bad you decide!) that whenever I go in some hotel, I do see what stuff others are eating. I saw two guys were having Pulao while I just saw menu of Biryani as a rice dish. Then I learnt another thing that in Punjab, there is no such thing as Biryani and they call Pulao as Biryani. I also learnt at same place that in ISB, Roti and Naan, both are same things while in Karachi roti as referred as Chappati. The thing which they call one roti is its due to flour which is usually look brown or red which makes roti reddish or brownish. Other is same like Tandoori Roti of Karachi. I ordered Chappal Kebab which I was trying first time in my life. Yeah I know I claim i love foods and I would be sounding hypocrite to you but yaar, I had not found good place in Karachi. Only good places in Karachi for Chappal Kebabs are Shah Faisal Colony and Banaras and both are way out of my way. The worth of chappal Kabab was Rs.40, not much!. IT was very tasty. we also had ordered Qeema fry and Chanay k daal. I also noticed and other guys from Karachi that 1 1/2 litre 7up bottle was more stronger than Karachi. I experinced it first at Savour food than at The Karachi company. I don’t know its true or its just we guys felt like that, no idea *shrug*. When we were returning back to guest house, I said to my friend that I didn’t find any Paanshop in ISB and I wanted to eat Paan. The thing which shocked me that Paan is not common in Pakistan and if Paan is available, its cost is around Rs.15!..I was like w00t??..Rs.15!!. My friend who’s a Karachiite but spent more time than me in iSB, told me that the only place of Pan he found was at Melody Food pak. It was quite surprising for me.

I offered Friday prayers at Masjid-e-Bilal near my office and there my friend helped me to taste something new and that’s called Challee, Bhutta(Corn on Cob) whic is actually a steamed rather baked or roasted and trust me it sounds so amazing and good. The process of stramed Corn is itself very interesting. They boil water in some big drum for hours and put bhutta on some filter stuff for hours(from 8-10 hours). The steam keeps cooking bhutta for whole night and they have it ready in the morning. Another good experience!

Last night we all went to have Icecream at Jinnah Market or Jinnah Super market I don’t remember but I do remember that Icecream parlour’s name was Mama’s (am I right??). I ordered one scoop of chocolate crunch and one of peanut crunch. The worth of cup was Rs.50 but very well justified. I was having a good icecream after a looooong time. I was told that it’s a home-made Icecream. God knows. All I can say that it was cool!

One thing which I felt a lot that ISB is the place where you can feel a big gap between elites and poor. There was no such middleclass areas like we have in Karachi. Maybe I don’t know much that’s why or it’s really true. ANyway, this was the only thing which I felt painful about Islamabad.

The last thing which I noticed today that there were lots of banners about Kashmiris and Kashmir. I don’t know it’s a norm in Islamabad or just there is something special which is going on in Islamabad. Ironically, Islamabad is the place where a regime has hurt Kashmir cause a lot by declarding Kashmiris freedom fighters as terrorists- *sigh*

After spending three days in Islamabad, I can just say that if you want to enjoy Islamabad, DON’t go for office work, just go for outing otherwise you will feel restless like me. There are so many lovely sights that one could just wish to spend life on that place, even there are lovely sights around my Islamabad office and guest house but then a Karachiite like me who loves too much noise and activities around could get bored soon after experiencing too much serenity in surroundings.

Thanks Islamabad to bring a minor change in my routine. I hope I will visit you soon for non-official purpose or even if I come for office work, I will make sure to visit famous sites of Islamabad.

David Horowitz’s Islamo-fascism awareness Week-Should WE care?

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

I was informed via Facebook that David Horowitz, another right wing conservative after Pat Robertson is pumped to start a week in different American schools and colleges to create awareness about Islamo-fascism among students. According to frontpage Mag,David says:

This October 22-26 I am declaring Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week (information at terrorismawareness.org). I will hold demonstrations and protests, teach-ins and sit-ins on more than 100 college campuses. Our theme will be the Oppression of Women in Islam and the threat posed by the Islamic crusade against the West.

Folks, do you find something new? Atleast I don’t. Women are oppressed in Islam while West gave them so much freedom that they can even steal babies fro Womb. What all this guy trying to tell students that Islam doesn’t give freedom to women, women have no life and Islam loves tussles with every other nation who doesn’t follow Islam.

Being an experienced contributor(not a blogger!) on various online Islamic/non-Islamic/Technical/social forums, these things are not new for me. I have been contributing online on IRC and web forums for last 11 years. After Iraq war, I become regular to various online forums where non-muslims from different parts of the world used to contribute and comeup with same points which David is rasing again;now in the name of Islamo-fascism. So many times I had nothing to say in reply because so many things I didn’t know but had a good faith on my religion so was never trapped by those guys who used to badmouth Islam by using different offensive statements which I can’t even repeat here. As Allah says in Quran:

And the disbelievers planned, but Allah planned. And Allah is the best of planners(3:54)

Their organized online Islam bashing forced me to look into Quran and related material anyways. In 2002, my Ismaili Employer(Agha Khani) gave me a book named Muslim Christian Dialogue by H.M.Baagil. The title was temptive despite of I was too careless about all such things. For him it was nothing but garbage so I requested him to give this book which he gave happily. I read that book and liked it but then I didn’t read it again as I had no such interest in all such things. In 2003 during Iraq war, I participated heavily on different IRC political and religious channels where majority of non-Muslims were attacking Islamic ideology like Jihad etc. If there were some Muslims online, they rather had holier than thou attitude and kept busy in Shia,Sunni/Who’s Kafir or Who’s not stuff while on other hand non-Muslims were united regardless of they were Jews or Christians who always considered each othe enemy in case of Jesus(AS). At that time I had not read the following verse in Quran but later when I read, it recalled everything which I had gone thru back in 2003. Allah(SWT) says:

O you who have believed, take not those who have taken your religion in ridicule and amusement among the ones who were given the Scripture before you nor the disbelievers as allies. And fear Allah, if you should [truly] be believers. (5:57)

Trust me guys, I was just speechless and also thanking Allah. Why thanking? because Allah Himself was proving his words true infront of my eyes. Since I am talking about this, I also tell you that there are so many things which later I read in Quran and Allah(SWT) gave practical example of verses to me. Incase you’re wondering, as I told you that I have participated a lot on various forums. Some of them are local too, the users and topic posters said so many things in their comments or post that it made me surprised that how the attitude of people in past is not changed even in this modern computer age and after encountering various instances, I had believed that Allah knew better than us about Human attitude that’s why He presented such things in form of Quran which makes one believe that Quran was sent for all times and Human is still living in the days of ignorance(Jahiliya).

Got distracted, as usual :-). So I was saying talking about David’s awareness week. I would like to discuss two points here:

  • Outcome of such movements/campaigns
  • How serious these non-Muslims should be taken.

Anti-Islamic movements/campaigns: This is not the first time neither last time. The movement against Islam was started right in the life of Prophet Muhammad(Saw) when an Arab Musaylima Kazzab declared himself a prophet and attracted many people as well. Musaylima stayed alive even after death of our Prophet(saw) but like his ancestors Nimrod,Hamaan, phararoah , he also got defeated and today noone exists who remembers him in good names. After him hundreds of plans were made against Islam but all went fruit since Allah is the best planner.

The incident of 9/11 did scare lots of Muslims about their own survival and Islam because the entire world was made to believe that Islam should be removed from face of earth(Godforbid). Bush chanted the slogan of Crusade and invaded Afghanistan. Muslims were attacked all over the world, thus it created a chaos in 2001. America’s right wingers started modern crusade by labeling it as war on terror, as it’s said in Urdu, Purana maal nai packing mey(Old stuff in new wrapper), the war was started against Islam which they say the last fight after communism. The results were entirely opposite that is, more and more Non-Muslims become Muslims in various part of the world and those who were just Muslim by birth either become true and genuine practised Muslims or started study Islam slowly. I belong to 2nd category of such Muslims. We see people like Yvonne Riddley accepted Islam after spending few time under Taliban control and became Muslim and then we see guys like Yousuf Yuhanna became Muhammad Yousuf and Singer Junaid Jamshed become preacher of Islam. Obviously both Junaid and Yousuf were not abducted by Talibans neither they were used to join online forums like me but what was actual the outcome of such lobbying that it made common ignorant man like me to think about religion. I was not aware that Women rights have been discussed in Surah-AnNisa, I never knew what and where it was discussed Jihad, I was not aware that Surah taubah’s initial surahs actually dealing with Hudebiya treaty rather giving Muslims free hand to kill non-Muslims as non-Muslims do propaganda specially people of Books while they never ever paid attention how their own Book(Bible) was altered with poisonous verses. Hence Islam was become such a hot cake for every Tom,Dick and Harry that everyone who despises it start talking about it. Anti-Islam policy makers who also used Muslims in US or abroad who were already not aware of Islam properly or wanted to run away from practised Islam, were used by them. Such kind of lot is called as Liberals,Seculars or Humanist these days. How they were used or being used, you would have to read this RAND Report which is actually a guidelines for implementors who actually used such Muslims and how then such educated Muslims react, you can experience it easily on this blog post which was actually made by a very learned man and a thinker. *sgh*- An example of how organized media campaign can ruin a person even if he’s a degree holder or some award winner. Local leftist blogs like this and this are just few examples among many how desi minds are being manipulated by West.

If you go thru such sites thoroughly(which offcourse will take time!) then you would realize that the idealogy they are trying to preach and ideology of Horowitz is quite identical that is based on Ignorance.

Should we get worried about people like David? Offcourse Not! Why? because there is a saying that preaching begins from Home. What does it mean? it means educate yourself first! that is, if you are willing to communicate non-Muslims or such Muslims then you should have idea about what are you talking about, if you don’t know then atleast consider bad thing bad rather just agreeing with them because you re empty. I am not a scholar nor a genuine practised Muslim but I think i do try to call spade a spade. Many times I would be wrong, fewer times I would have said something right but unless you don’t consider a sin a sin, you r just putting your faith at risk.

Few facebook users has organized a worldwide event named OCT 24th- WEAR GREEN against Islamo-Fascism Week.

Contributors have been asked to wear any green stuff(I don’t know why!!) to oppose David’s lame movement. The point is, will wearing any green stuff going to make any difference among your peers who think negative about Islam or are we going to CONVINCE David his ideology is wrong? If it’s to convince David about Islam then I don’t think it’s gonna work anyway. The only way to defeat people like David to educate your own Muslim pals and THEN to non-Muslims about the real spirit. Instead of condemning what David is babling everywheere, we better need to talk our locals or condemn their activities which is not different than David. Now what’s the difference between points raised by David and points being raised here and other two blogs I mentioned above? they also consider students of madrassahs are terrorists, David says same by declaring them crusadors. Our these fellow Muslims protest why women wear Hijab or Burqa and it’s sign of opression and obstacle in progress, David says same. How stupid would it be if I oppose elements like David and then favor something similar just because it was not said by a David?

Wearing green stuff only and not actually trying to work on root cause is just wastage of time. If you think you’re not capable enough to talk abou Islam with your peers, don’t worry, start reading Islam yourself as it would be the greatest contribution by you for Muslims because once you start doing that, you and other Muslims will not need to get worried about people like David, Irshad Manji, Ayah Harsi Ali or Tasleema Nasreen.

Heaven on Earth for Pakistani Ministers

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

Last year I shared a piece of info about the facilities enjoyed by a Pakistani Minister. Many people said that it’s fake and impossible but today I was shared a news by Khurram, who commented on my earlier post. According to today’s Dawn:

In a country where the public per capita health expenditure is measly Rs360, the government spent Rs65 million on overseas treatment of just 18 bigwigs mostly for diseases that could be treated within the country and that too at a fraction of the cost.

it further reveals:

some 18 politicians and bureaucrats benefited from the facility on the special approval of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, spending an amount that was enough to run a tertiary care hospital for a whole year and 13 times more than what the government was spending on prevention and control of non-communicable diseases (high blood pressure, diabetes, heart diseases and stroke), a major cause of mortality and disability in the country.

the story got started by Sher Afgan when he convinced the PM that his heart can’t be cured in Pakistan. Well, the ignorance often demonstrated by Afgan niazi can’t be treated anywhere on earth. Anyways, he got succeeded and managed to go abroad for treatment.

The interesting piece of statment was given by MQM’s Kunwar Khalid Younis:

MNA Kunwar Khalid Yunus, who got the highest allocation of Rs11 million for one-year treatment in United Kingdom, said he only utilised Rs4.5 million and remained under treatment for just three months and was continuing his medication at Agha Khan.

and when he was asked that why didn’t he think about poor Pakistanis first, what he replied is simply priceless.

Don’t you think that after being a parliamentarian for almost two decades I deserved this much privilege

Boht Aala Kunwar Sahab! Let me remind you that your Quaid-e-Tehrik Altaf Hussain always whined that MQM belongs to Middle class of Karachi and MQM understand the pain of middle class. I am seriously confused whether Pakistani middle class has made so much improvement that they could enjoy such luxury or MQM’s planning for such elite middle class future class or you’re just fooling us?

Stealing baby from Womb

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

Our so called educated and enlightened liberals never get tired of praising West and their women by saynig they are Independant and more broadminded than ours but when I read news like following then I’m forced to believe that women in West are still living in ancient times when there was no concept of Education. According to BBC

Jurors in the US state of Missouri have convicted a woman who strangled an expectant mother and cut the baby from her womb with a kitchen knife in 2004.

How cruel!! I don’t know what to say.. just “West Zindabad!”

Wo Dekho programmer Jarhaa hay-A tribute

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

Apne Project ke bojh tale daba jaa raha hai

Das hazaar line ke code main error dhoond lete hain lekin,
Majboor dost ki ankhon ki nami dikhayi nahi deti,

Pc pe hazaar windows khuli hain,
Par dil ki khidki pe koi dastak sunayi nahi deti,

saturday-sunday nahata nahi, week days ko naha raha hai,
Wo dekho ek Programmer ja raha hai,

Coding karte karte pata hi nahi chala,

kitabon main gulab rakhne wala , cigerette ke dhuyen main kho gaya,

Weekends pe Pepsi peeke jo jashn mana raha hai,
Wo dekho ek Programmer ja raha hai,

hazaron ki tankhwah wala, company ki karoddon ki jaib bharta hai,
Programmer. wahi ban sakta hai, jo Lohe ka jigar rakhta hai,

Hum log jee jee ke marte hain , zindagi hai kuch aisi,
Ek fauj ki naukri, doosri Programmer. ki , dono ek jaisi,

Is sher ka har lafz dil ki gehrayi se aa raha hai,
Wo dekho ek Programmer ja raha hai.

How to count suicide bombers?- Pakistani style

Sunday, October 21st, 2007

You could consider this post a sequel of my last post in which I tried to summarized different online news.

This morning I read following news in Dawn and despite of serious and tragic nature of the news, it made me to grin that how government officials are trying their best to make stories up to prove their point of about 10/18 incident. According to Dawn:

KARACHI, Oct 20: Police have found evidence suggesting that the suicide bomber who targeted the Pakistan People’s Party leadership on Thursday was not alone but was accompanied by four or five accomplices, while a second severed head has been found from the crime scene

How did they find out? well very easy(may be more difficult for them than Einstein to find out different time frame reference in Universe?). The equation is:

Number of Suicide Bombers is directly proportional to number of head founds at location. If suicide bomber is S and Head is H then you could have some equation like:

S=i x H

where i= Universal Constant for Ignorance

p.s: It’s not clear as yet how did they figure out that those guys were more than three while they have just found two heads? Projection? I don’t know that whethr our officials are good at Statistics as well?
