Tension between Musharraf and Nawaz Sharif

Sunday, September 9th, 2007

As many of you know, Nawaz Sharif decided to come Pakistan on 10th September, 2007, things keep getting worst between Nawaz Sharif and Musharraf. Mush wants that Nawaz doesn’t come back while Mr.Sharif wants to come back anyways but things would go so worst, I had not imagined at all. See yourself!

Is it not scary?? :D

From India with love- worth of Pakistani celebrities

Saturday, September 8th, 2007

I don’t get surprised anymore when I hear such news. According to this news:

New Delhi — Noted Pakistani filmmaker Hasan Zaidi was thrown out by a Mumbai hotel on Monday for bearing his country’s citizenship but he said on Thursday that the city remained a home for him with many warm friends.

Hasan Zaidi

But later hotle establishment apologized for this behaviour. If you ask me, I say he deserved it! Why? quite obvious- HE went India not US. How do we forget easily that so many incidents happening around just prove again and again that India and Pakistan can only be rivals;not good friends or even neighbors. The way our so called pro-friendship freaks keep visiting India by ignoring the attitude of Indian media is quite disturbing. What kind of roles were given to Pakistani actors like Javed Shaikh, Qavi and Aurangzeb leghari were so embarassing that I was surprised that how come those BIG actors got agreed to work for such characters? I don’t know the movie but in a movie, an Indian actor Jimmy shergill spits on face of Aurangzeb Leghari. In same movie, the other actor Qavi is pushed on cow’s shit(Gobar). I know these were just characters but were they not free to reject them? On other hand, those Pakistani actors ,good actors were guests in India, instead of giving some sane role, they offered such offensive role to those Pakistani actors. But wait! I am not going to blame India, the real morons here are people like Qavi,Leghari and Shaikh who get ready to work on such characters just because they could get into Indian movie world.

Back to Hasan’s incident. Let’s assume that it was just an incident which was later apologized but the point which annoyed me a lot was given below:

The filmmaker had arrived from Karachi on Monday and checked into a hotel where he was booked by a colleague from Mumbai. “I had barely entered my room when they sent for my passport and said they didn’t put up Pakistanis or Bangladeshis.”

The erring hotel manager later informed him that several other hotels in Mumbai followed a similar policy towards Pakistanis and Bangladeshis. The two countries have figured as suspects in recent blasts in the city. But there is a communal angle too, prompted by the power that the rightwing Shiv Sena wields there.

Shouldn’t we have followed similar policy due to involvement of RAW in several Pakistani incident and force Indians to either stay on roads or just get out? We didn’t do this. What we did is enough to show how do we treat our neighbors.

Don’t get me wrong, I have No issue if things go well between India and Pakistan. Infact nobody would have issue with it. What I actually believe that this frinedship should be bi-directional rather Pakistan just keep making efforts. Taali do haath se bajti hey ek hath se sirf chammat parta hay jaise Pakistan ko parta hay. I also tell you that I have few good Indian friends and I communicate with them daily. Infact this blog of mine was setup by my dear Indian friend Kumar Chetan. That’s another story that the way we started communicated with each other was typical like any convo between an Indian and Pakistani but thankfully it become good with the passage of time. I knew another Indian friend in south africa who also used to believe that, We don’t need Kashmir and it’s for kashmiris.

So, I don’t say tht every Indian is fanatic. The point is, when it’s said that there is disturbance between govts only doesn’t seem apt. When there such hotel policies then how could things go better? I don’t know at all! maybe my Indian friend or some other Indian could explain it?

The month of Sha’baan-II

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

 part-I

Fasting at the end of Sha’baan

It was reported in al-Saheehayn from ‘Imraan ibn Husayn (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to a man, “Have you fasted anything of the sirar of this month?” He said, “No.” He said: “If you have not fasted, then fast two days.” According to a report narrated by al-Bukhaari: I think he meant Ramadaan. According to a report narrated by Muslim, (the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)) said: “Have you fasted anything of the sirar of Sha’baan?” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 4/2000; Muslim, no. 1161).

There was some dispute as to the meaning of the word siraar. The most well known view is that it refers to the end of the month. The end of the month is called siraar because the moon is hidden (istisraar) at that time. Someone may raise the point that it was reported in al-Saheehayn from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Do not pre-empt Ramadaan by one or two days, except for those who have the habit of fasting regularly, in which case they may fast.” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, no 1983; Muslim, no. 1082). How can we reconcile the hadeeth which encourages fasting at this time with the hadeeth which says not to fast at this time? The answer is: many of the scholars and most of those who commented on this hadeeth said: this man to whom the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) addressed this question was known to have the habit of fasting regularly, or else he had made a vow, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) commanded him to make up his fast. There are also other points of view on this issue. In brief we may say that there are three scenarios for fasting at the end of Sha’baan.

The first scenario is when a person fasts at the end of Sha’baan with the intention of being on the safe side and not missing the first day of Ramadaan. This is forbidden.

The second scenario is when a person fasts with the intention of fulfilling a vow or of making up a day of Ramadaan that he missed or as an act of expiation (kafaarah), etc. This is permissible according to the majority.

The third scenario is when this is purely a voluntary fast. This is regarded as makrooh by those who said that we should differentiate between Sha’baan and Ramadaan by not fasting for a while. Among those who said this was al-Hasan. If it happens to coincide with a day when a person habitually fasts, Maalik and those who agreed with him permitted this, but al-Shaafa’i, al-‘Oozaa’i, Ahmad and others made a distinction between cases where it is a fast which a person habitually observes or otherwise.

In conclusion, the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah quoted above is what we should follow according to the majority of scholars. It is makrooh to observe a voluntary fast one or two days before Ramadaan for those who do not habitually fast on those days and who have not previously fasted until the end of Sha’baan. It may be asked: why is it makrooh to fast just before Ramadaan (for those who do not have a prior habit of fasting)? The answer is that there are a number of reasons why this is so, such as:

Firstly: lest extra days be added to the fast of Ramadaan that are not part of it. Fasting on the day of Eid is prohibited for the same reason, lest we fall into the same trap as the People of the Book with regard to fasting, as they added to their fasts because of their own whims and desires.

For the same reason it is also forbidden to fast on the “day of doubt”. ‘Ammaar said: whoever fasts on this day has disobeyed Abu’l-Qaasim (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

The “day of doubt” is a day when people are not sure whether it is Ramadaan or not, when news of the sighting of the crescent moon comes from one whose word cannot be accepted. As for a cloudy day, some of the ‘ulamaa’ said that this was also a ‘day of doubt’ and said that fasting was not allowed on this day. This is the view of the majority.

Secondly: to make a distinction between fard (obligatory) fasts and naafil (supererogatory) fasts, because making a clear distinction between fard actions and naafil actions is prescribed in Islam. Hence it is haraam to fast on the day of Eid, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade following an obligatory prayer immediately with another prayer unless they are separated by saying salaam or speaking, especially in the case of the Sunnah prayer performed just before Fajr. It is prescribed to make a clear separation between this prayer and the obligatory prayer. Hence it is prescribed to pray it at home and to lie down afterwards.

When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) saw a man praying at the time when the iqaamah had been given for Fajr, he said to him: “Al-Subh is four rak’ahs.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, no. 663).

Some ignorant people may think that the reason why we do not fast just before Ramadaan is so that we can make the most of eating and have our fill of our desires before we have to deny ourselves by fasting. This is an ignorant mistake on the part of those who think this. And Allaah knows best.

Musharraf’s rule of Economics

Sunday, September 2nd, 2007

Our president Pervaiz Musharraf is an intelligent boy. This is the main reason he’s the head of Pakistan Army.

I was not aware of this intelligence of our president until I was blessed by one of his speech and recently discovered a program which is telecast live from “Aiwan-e-Sadar”, the president house. In a question which was asked by some businessman who was worried about Pakistan economy and frustrated Pakistanis, Musharraf as-usual refuted him as well and proved him wrong by giving his rules of good economy. These rules are so effective and simple that a layman like me who no nothing about economy and commerce and took a week to understand why one has to equalize credit amount with debit amount in balance sheet, was able to grasp them at first place. According our president, Pakistan’s economy going high and high and reducing poverty because(In his own words).

  • Gaoun(Village) mey log kushhaal horahe hain. Log Lux aur Capri sabun istimal kar rahe hain. Unilever se poochain, wo bataye gey k gaoun me unki products k supply kitni zyda hay.
  • Gaoun k loog jo pehle Cycle istimal karta thay wo ab motor cycle istimal kar rahe hain. Atlas Honda Walo se pochain, Shirazi sahab batain gey k unki motor cycles k kitni demand hain. Kaha jarhee hain woh? bhai gaoun me supply horahe hay. ye sab behtri nahi hay tu aur kia hay?
  • Aap daloun(pulse) k qeemat dekhay, Mash,Masoor, chana ye sab india se sasti hain, mey parcha laya houn likh kar jo aap leysakte hain.

Few months ago he made a speech on TV on same topic. Musharraf said:

See, how he made economics simple I was just doing Wah Wah after getting to the point economic lesson. Shaukat Aziz would have been regretting why he wasted so many years at CitiBank and never trusted on Boss.

Now I can say proudly that my country is progressing and sooner we will leave India,China and USA behind.

Sab se Pehla Pakistan Zindabad !

Meebo Me,the ways to communicate with me.

Sunday, September 2nd, 2007

Meebo Me is an awesome product by meebo guys which gives your blog/site a feature to provide online interaction with your readers/visitors.

If you notice, I have also been using this gadget which helps me to recieve offline/online messages by the visitors of this blog. It’s directly associated with Meebo’s own IM where I log in and interact with users if they are currently online on my site.

As you can see, it shows I am currently online therefore I can interact you instantly.

What I have noticed that many visitors who want to interact with me, doesn’t leave their identity at all because the Meebo system genrated a random guestId meeboguest80049 for Instance which is editable and save in your computer as a Cookie which could save you to enter your nick again and again.

This evening I got a message by someone who asked me to write about movie Khuda K liye. The reader seems a newbie on my blog otherwise he would have noticed that I made two posts about that movie which you find after using search option.

While I know that not everyone is tech savvy therefore most of people fail to use such system. I usually  don’t like to mention my email address due to spammin issues , also privaacy is the other main factor I created an AJaxized contact form which I didn’t reconfigure after migrating my blog.

For sake of easiness ,  I have mentioned my email and IM details in About Section of my blog. Chose your option and shoot your message!.

By shoot doesn’t mean you start spamming me ;-)

The person who asked me question could contact me by using any mode of communication.

Karachi: Shershah bridge collapses

Saturday, September 1st, 2007

Just two days back I informed you about the crack on the roof of Nazimabad underpass. Today I watched tragic news that a part of Northern bypass at Paracha Chowk in Shershah of city Karachi.

This is old satellite imagery via Google Maps. You can see the particular area where a part of northern bypass was touching. So far 6+ people are expired and several cars, pushcarts, trucks are still under collapsed bridge.

The bridge which was recently inaugurated by dictator Musharraf when he visited the city 3 weeks ago.

This picture says all. It’s looking horrible even in the picture. Imagine how people would have felt when they saw the bridge collapsed. People who were there said they heard a big bang and then saw heavy vehicles falling down from the bridge.

Politicians asusual never accept the responsiblity. Minister of Communication Shamim Siddiqui who were heading entire project started giving excuses and blaming NLC and NHA. Minister of Communication had such a severe communication problem that he ignorantly said only 4 people were expired which was refuted instantly by AAJ TV reporter that minister was informed and atleast 50 people would be under the bridge. The minister was so much inhumane that he said “Ab log mar gaye ab kia karsaktay hain”[People have died, what can we do now]. As if nothing happened? This is because none of dead souls were part of his family? Officials asusual announced few amount of money(Rs.0.5 millions each) and considered they have done their part.

Different agencies and companies have offered their services for aid work. So far no one have been rescued live.

The white corolla which you are seeing in in this picture, the owner of the car doesn’t exist as TV channels showed his had hanging out freely from door. Also you can read how blame game has been started. City government who is always ready to take credit of every project is now blaming other agencies. *sigh*

Asusual, officials are still trying to figure out _Real culprits_. Obviously, they would never be able to figue out because how a dacoit could curse to himself? Those who affected are part of Awam. Those who never got affected are still having fun in London,Islamabad,Abu Dhabi.

Those who can read Urdu can figure out themselves that higher officials of NLC and NHA already knew about the fault. I can understand that it takes time to call experts from other part of the world but WHY THE HECK THEY DIDN’T CLOSE THAT THE DEFECTED PART? THEY KNEW THAT OVERLOADING COULD CAUSE THE DISASTER BUT THEY DIDN’T. WERE THEY WAITING FOR DISASTER BECAUSE THE RESIDENTS OR USER OF THAT AREA ARE POORS?

The higherups of Ministry of communication showed all their _anger_ on subordinates. Minister asuusual didn’t give clear answe when he was asked by TV channels about his resignation. Minister said that If it’s his fault then he would think to submit his resignation. No shame, simple no shame at all. The remainig part of the bridge has also started collpaising due to aid work.

I now watch former higerups of different institutes are now being saint and blaming the companies which fed their big bellies for many years. I heared former Administrator of Karachi mr.Faheemuz zaman who are being saint and _exposing_ filth of different institutes. Zaman who were made admin of Karachi by Benazir were also a corrupt person. The time when it was decided to kick him out due to his inefficiency, the road from Nazimabad patrol pump to Habib Bank Chowrangi was decided to rebuild though condition of road was so good that there was not a single crack at all. Fahim gave tender to his favorite contractor. That scandal got famous a lot and several people raised voice against that tender. When it was decided that he would be kicked out, Fahim ordered to dig up entire road and the road was dug up over night so that future government couldn’t cancel that tender. Such morons now talking about bulshit done by others.

Whoever is culprit, authories, MQM, Sind government or Kamal’s government, I ask just one question from them, Don’t you have any fear? don’t you have any mercy for those who lost their future? What about your own family? Do you think your family members are dead-safe just because you would have sent them in US or UK? how foolish you are!

I tell you one thing that you can’t buy everything from money. You do all this for money right?corruption, cheating, using 3rd class material as if you would never use it. All for sake of money right? But I wonder whether you ever heard about Seth Abid of Abid group?. He’s the big name in smuggling and also got fame by helping Pakistan’s nuclear program. Last year his only normal son was killed in Lahore. The other three kids of Seth Abid are disabled. Just imagine that a single normal son and hafiz is killed, how would a dad feel? Are you more powerful than Abid? He was the man who’s supposed to feed our nuclear program. DO you think you have more power and money than him? When a person like Seth Abid couldn’t remove the disability of his kids then what could you do? Just ponder once because all your exercises which you do to run your family could go in vein if you also get kids like Abid. Just ponder once please?

Also, there is a lesson for us as well. Could you imagine that you are fit and fine and in daytime your soul is taken away when you lose your life due to bridge collapse? All your plans, your excuses just go in trash when your soul is taken away. You don’t even get time to say Tauba to Allah. Just imagine if you suffer from such death? doesn’t it make you to ponder once about what you have been doing for years and what preparation have you done to face Allah. I have done nothing. So better pray for yourself and for me too because death doesn’t give you second chance.
