Roznama Boriat has suspended their online e-paper.

Shariq Mustaqeem, the owner of Boriat News paper says:

قارئین کرام، ہم غم و خوشی کے ملے جلے جذبات کے ساتھ روزنامہ بوریت کراچی کی تمام اپ ڈیٹس کی معطلی کا اعلان کر رہے ہی

Shariq tells the reason:

دنیا میں محبت کے سوا اور بھی غم ہیں اور یہی وہ وجہ ہے جس کے باوصف ہمیں سائٹ کو معطل کر دینے کی ضرورت پیش آئی ہے۔ یاد رکھیے، ہر انسان کے ساتھ ایک پَیٹ لگا ہے، اور آج کے سقراط کو بھی بجلی کا بل ادا کرنا پڑے گا۔

As expected, lots of Boriat fans are not happy with the decision. I got introduced with this website one and half year ago via friend and become fan of it. The unique style of sarcasm was too good to send the message across. At that time I didn’t know that Shariq was my university fellow.

Shariq has suspended his paper due to his career move which I accept but it really saddens that a good urdu service will not function anymore. I can just hope Shariq will continue his love for Urdu from the place where he resides now. I can’t publicly reveal where Shariq is working now without his permission but I wish him best of luck for his new and bright career.
