I must confess that I have not read/listend Jalib before. I got chance to listen him yestereve in a TV program on his death anniversary which was on 12th March.

Since we are already experiencing a dictator’s era, people like Faiz and Jalib who always raised against dictatorship of Yahya,Ayub and Zia.

People of that time still talk about his hardcore anti-Govt writings. How one can forget his “Dastoor”. It’s just surprising that leftists of old times used to condemn dictatorship. Thingsa re changed now.

These days I have been watching on TV that how Minister lick the toes of President, Jalib wrote an awesome stuff “Ye Wazeeran-e-Karam” [These Ministers] about such mentality.

Before I quit, I would like to share a video of Jalib’s poetry,the way he used to recite poetry was beautiful.
