[e]id-ul-Adha-The festival gets digital

Thursday, December 21st, 2006

You would have read/heard terms like e-books,e-shopping,e-magazine etc etc but the term electronic Eidul Adha which I term as [e]Idul-Adha might be new for you. According to news.com

Muslims in Western countries unable to perform the ritual can now buy an animal over the Internet and even watch it being slaughtered, before its meat is given away.

It is not easy for them to buy animals and carry out the sacrifice according to our religious rites in those countries,” said Sohail Ahmed, an official at the Al-Khidmat trust Islamic welfare organization.

“They are turning to the Internet to complete their religious obligations,” said Ahmed, whose organization offers the service.

The most intresting bit:

“We have a dedicated IP address and people can watch the sacrifice no matter which country they are in,” said organization official Shakeel Dehalvi.

I remember that Bakra[goat] and Gaye[bull and cow] Mandi[market] in Karachi had started credit card facility last year and people didn’t need to keep heavy cash amount anymore. This internet concept is just great and innovative too!

Who says we are not getting digital?:D

Education Minister’s 40 Siparay

Tuesday, December 19th, 2006

Electronic version

Too much ignorance is not bliss

I believe Education Minister needs someone to educate himself first. Please remember that same Fedral Minister is involved in making new Pakistani Schools and colleges syllabus

For those who don’t know what siparay means, Sipray is used in urdu language for “part” or “section”.

May Allah keeps us safe from such ignorant morons-Ameen

Shokat Siddiqi passed away

Tuesday, December 19th, 2006

The man behind classics like Khuda Ki Basti and Jangloos is no more among us. Inna Lillahye Wainna Alahye Rajioon.

Though Shokat Sahib has written several classics but Khuda Ki Basti, God’s own land was the main reason of his popularity. The novel become more popular when PTV made a series based on the novel titled Khuda Ki Basti in 1969. The drama which gave a break to Behroz Sabzwari who was working as a child star and was playing the role of Noshay. Recently Geo TV tried to make a remake of it but it didn’t had that touch which was in orignal play. I must say that Khuda Ki basti was a very bold step by Shokat Sahib and it did reveal many evils of our society.

The other novel Jangloos was also dramatized by PTV and it also gave a talented actor in the form of Shabbir Jaan.

I don’t see any good name now in urdu afsana after Shokat Siddiqi. Most of writers are just writing traditional stuff rather revolutionary.

I would like to share Raatoun Ka Sher penned by Shokat Siddiqi with my blog readers

Postive Side of 16th December

My last two posts about fall of Dhaka made me cynical, reading and discovering about the things happened 35 years back did remind me the things which our elders would have faced at the time of partition. Adil Najam’s Hum Key theray Ajnabi reminded the fall of Dhaka in a very different way, an attempt to extract something positive from the darkness of the tragedy. Frankly speaking, it happened only thrice when I felt that tragic incident. First when I was in college and used to read Suspense Digest and Jasoosi Digest. I read a story by Dr.Sajid Amjad which was actually a love story between a Bengali student and a non-Bengali professor. Second time when I heard ‘Hum k Therey Ajnabi’ sung by Nayarra in a TV drama by Dr.Anwar Sajjad. Third time when I spent 3/4 days to know the real story behind this fall so that I could make a post for this blog. How much I am successful to find out truth, only Allah knows.

16 December of this year was a different than past. Our cricket heroes tried to give smile to their fellow Pakistanis by defeating their opponents. Yesterday Pakistan National Cricket Team defeated West Indies by 7 wickets and won the series by 3-1 but the more sensational news was that Pakistani Blind Cricket Team defeated their rivals India in World Cup final and retained their first position. This is really great news, infact more than great! The picture in Today’s Dawn did bring smile on my face that our both cricket teams have given a wonderful gift to our nation on 16 December which might be helpful to heal old wounds.

First of all I hate this term “Blind” for cricket team. I don’t know why but it sounds offensive to me. For me they’re not blind, it’s just everything is black for them and black is also a color. Who says they are blind? Unlike people who can see, they are able to light a candle of determination and self-believing. I think they are much better than those who have eyes but still unable to see anything and keep following the path of ignorance and arrogance. I wish someone come up with some respectable word for “blinds” just like we use “Special people” for disable person.

The success stories by both teams make me realize that if they can achieve something on 16 December then why not me, why not you? Is it not possible that instead of regretting whatever happened in past which caused the lost of part of our homeland, we try to give SOEMTHING to our remaining homeland by doing something for its people? Khalil Jibran says something very classic in Sand and Foam:

Forgetfulness is a form of Freedom
Remembrance is a form of Prison

If we try to forget the negatives of this tragic incident and move on then what‘s the problem? I don’t say you just IGNORE that incident because those nations who don’t learn from their past always whine and blame others hence they get failed. Our own nation is one of the biggest examples of such mentality. If I try to interpitete the first statement then it reminds me Japanese nation who just didn’t give up after the nuclear war neither they forgot. Instead of they used that accident as a motivational factor and utilized all of their strengths to develop their country. The world witnessed that how same Japan ruled over the world and made USA dependant on their products. So Instead of whining about past and others mistakes, if every Pakistani gets determined to do something on 16 December which could make difference in someone’s live then I think it would be the best way to pay Kuffara [price] of our past mistakes. It’s not necessary that you achieve something in your respective fields; you can do various things which could result something good for your fellow Pakistanis. For Instance don’t like on 16th, Work hard and with sincerity in your office. Help some old person to cross the road, cleaning your area roads etc etc. You can do various things which you think would be easy for you; the main objective should be ‘I have to help Pakistan, I have to help Pakistani’ so that you can also give smile to your fellow Pakistani(s). What’s wrong in it? When our blind Pakistani fellows can give smile to a person like me who is able to see then why can’t we do something for those who are sad, leading miserable life and disabled?

Since I am talking about blind people, it also reminds me that what have we done for special Pakistanis? I myself is in field of computer engineering and I personally don’t see much development or work for blind people who are willing to join I.T Industry. I always read posts by Dr. TV Raman who is associated with Google and unable to see. He’s the live example of courage and his efforts told the world is that “SEEING IS not BELIVING”. He often shares his experiences about his daily life usage of computer and related technologies. Few of his posts can be read here and here. You can also see a video by him that how Google could be handy for blinds.

We’re already far behind in the field of I.T. Working for blinds and special people in the field of I.T sounds something impossible in Pakistan. I can’t speak on the behalf of other professions but yes in I.T there is a lack of interest to use IT skills for the betterment of Pakistanis or Muslim Ummah. Here guys work hard to earn money or just act like Lakeer k Faqeer that they don’t bother to try something on their own, in short, there is no concept of R&D in Pakistani IT Industry. My attempt to make MSN based Quran is a recent example of what I actually want. I would be several time less talented than you and would be earning infinite times less than you but it doesn’t matter here, the thing which matters here that how you can use your skills to help your people, after all it’s your responsibility and duty to utilize your skills for the betterment of your country men otherwise you’re just being a selfish soul. Now one could say that I am being nationalist by discussing Pakistan or being a Muslim fundamentalist to work for Muslim Ummah only. My friend, if I am able to do something for my own people then I will also be able to do something for outer world. When you cook something new, you first share it with your family members rather outsiders because you know that if something goes wrong, they would still appreciate you and give you courage for 2nd attempt. If you just try your dishes on outsiders then there are chances that they curse you for bad cooking and you give up.

Anyways, back to the topic that we have to bring this tragic day a brighter day for ourselves and for our people. In short we should follow what Jews do today. They work hard in their respective fields but they also don’t forget to contribute for Israel. I really love such attributes by Jews. They do what was ordered to us by Allah and you see the results, they rule over USA. A Jew regardless of his location tries to contribute for Israel cause. They do follow modern trends, infact they set trends for others but they also have not forgot the message given by their rabbis thousand years back. On other side, we try to become modern and come out of pajama.

I hope my scattered words have made some sense, If not then ignore them. I also expect that overseas Pakistanis who have NO such excuse of limitations they could face in homeland could utilize their skills for the betterment of Pakistan rather earning dollars and being a preacher for Western society for people back in home. Look sending lots of remittances is not like helping people of your country. Even a jahil village man can send money back to his mother after working hard. You need to be a different then them. I wish some intelligent person try to understand my message and try to implement it. I would try my best that I would also follow what I just said and will be a helpful soul for my country and for my Ummah.

Remembering 16 Dec,71- A forgotten Past-II

Part-I

  • Legal Framework Order(LFO)

After the cancellation of 1962’s constitution, Yahya needed some system to hold new democratic elections and for this purpose Legal Framework Order [LFO] was introduced. LFO which was officially called Legal Framework Order 1970 consisted of following..

The National Assembly was to consist of 313 seats, including 13 seats reserved for women. Women were also allowed to contest the elections from general seats. The distribution of seats was to be as follows:

East Pakistan: 162 general and 7 reserved seats

Punjab: 82 general and 3 reserved seats

Sindh: 27 general and 1 reserved seat

N. W. F. P.: 18 general and 1 reserved seat

Baluchistan: 4 general and 1 reserved seat

Centrally Administered Tribal Areas: 7 general seats

  • General Election 1970

The election of 1970 was the first general election after its creation in 1947. Pakistan after its creation was hijacked by military rulers and people of Pakistan never got a chance to elect the leader of their own will. A three-member election commission was setup and Justice Abdul Sattar was the first chief election commissioner of Pakistan. The primary task of this new commission was the enrollment of new votes in both factions and according to final list of voters. There were 56,941,500 registered voters in Pakistan out of which 31,211,220 were in EP and 25,730,280 in WP. 199 returning officers were appointed country wide for national and provincial elections and 24 parties participated in it. In east, Mujeeb’s Awami league was emerged as the main party and it attracted the people of that region due to 6-points agenda while in West Mr.Z.A.Bhutto who had established his separate party after having difference with Ayub Khan over 65 war issue, emerged as the biggest democratic leader of Pakistan and his party which had slogan “Roti Kapra aur Makaan” [Food, clothing and shelter] attracted the masses. A total of 1579 candidates participated in elections. Awami League nominated 170 candidates out of them 162 were in East Pakistan.

According to results, Awami League emerged as the single biggest party in NA by earning 160 seats. It also won 288 out of 300 seats in East Pakistan in provincial election while earned not a single seat in West Pakistan. PPP earned 81 out of 138 seats which were reserved for Pakistan. Mujeeb’s party by laws was in condition to make govt in National Assembly and introduce a new constitution. ZA Bhutto refused to accept the victory of Mujeeb-ur-Rahman and proposed the silly idea of two PMs in both wings, this created lots of anger in the country and tension kept mounted on both sides. Yahya met both ZA Bhutto and Mujeeb in Dhaka to decide the future of Pakistan. Unfortunately talks failed and Mujeeb finally called a nation wide strike.

  • The Separation

Above mentioned things clear lots of confusion about the background of the separation but this was not the end. In 1970, Bhola Cyclone struck the coast of Bangladesh which claimed around half of millions of lives. The leaders in West Pakistan didn’t pay attention and never made a visit to express the sympathy for victims. This was a plus point for Mujeeb’s party and Outer world experienced a “Step Brother” attitude of West Pakistan.

  • Mujeeb’s 7th March Speech

On March 7, 1971, Sheikh Mujeeb-ur-Rahman gave a speech at Racecourse Ground. In this speech, he proposed further four points for National Assembly Meeting on March 25. The points were:

1. The immediate lifting of martial law.
2. Immediate withdrawal of all military personnel to their barracks.
3. An inquiry into the loss of life.
4. Immediate transfer of power to the elected representative of the people before the assembly meeting March 25.

According to Wikipedia:

He urged “his people” to turn every house into a fort of resistance. He closed his speech saying, “The struggle this time is for our freedom. The struggle this time is for our independence.” This speech is considered the main event that inspired the nation to fight for their independence.

  • Operation Searchlight

The operation was started on night of 25th march and motive behind this operation to crush Bengal force by imposing military operation [Same tactic is still being used by Pakistan Army].

On the other note it was also noted that great number of Bengalis were killed by Pakistan Army, Bengali women and girls were raped brutally by Pakistani Army. I might not agree with the figure given by Bengal sources that thousands of women/girls were raped but I also know that Pakistani Army is not a group of saint officers and Chapter 1 and 2 of Hamood-ur-Rahman report did admit that Bengalis were raped and anti-WP govt element were brutally murdered by West Pakistan Army. I wish I could deny such allegations and could declare my entire Army ‘Holy’ if I would not have experienced 1992 and then 1995 operation in Karachi and recent killings in Balochistan, Bajorh and Dargai when Pakistan Army attacked missiles on their own people.

  • Mukti Bahanis

Actually what I read, it was actually spread at that time that Mukti Bahanis were Mujeeb’s brain child while they were actually young Bengalis who were being led by Col(R) Atau; Ghani Usmani. That is other thing that unarmed East Pakistani soldiers who were forced to surrender infront of West Pakistani army joined the Mukti Bahani Force to take revenge from West Pakistan. I don’t know what “Mukti Bahni” actually means but I know that Mukti is referred to “to get rid of” in Hindi language. In simple language, we can call them freedom fighters of Bengalis or East Pakistan resident.

  • The War and Indian Intervention(Fall of Dhaka)

India had best chance to take advantage of the situation and taken revenge of 1965 war so they did. The war which was started by West Pakistan on 25th March was ended by Indians and Mukti Bahani force. There was a clear disturbance among Pakistani top officers and they were not ready for such intense situation after the 65 war. The use of modern USSR weaponry of that time and accompanying with Mukti Bahani forces left Pakistan Army no where in the whole scenario. On December 16, 1971, formal surrender in East Pakistan was conveyed in front of UN which was accepted. 45,000 troops as well as civilians were taken as POW.

Gen. Niazi surrendered all forces to Indian General Arora. The text of Instrument of surrender is given below:

The PAKISTAN Eastern Command agree to surrender all PAKISTAN Armed Forces in BANGLA DESH to Lieutenant-General JAGJIT SINGH AURORA, General Officer Commanding in Chief of the Indian and BANGLA DESH forces in the Eastern Theatre. This surrender includes all PAKISTAN land, air and naval forces as also all para-military forces and civil armed forces. These forces will lay down their arms and surrender at the places where they are currently located to the nearest regular troops under the command of Lieutenant- General JAGJIT SINGH AURORA.

The PAKISTAN Eastern Command shall come under the orders of Lieutenant-General JAGJIT SINGH AURORA as soon as this instrument has been signed. Disobedience of orders will be regarded as a breach of the surrender terms and will be dealt with in accordance with the accepted laws and usages of war. The decision of Lieutenant-General JAGJIT SINGH AURORA will be final, should any doubt arise as to the meaning or interpretation of the surrender terms.

Lieutenant- General JAGJIT SINGH AURORA gives a solemn assurance that personnel who surrender will be treated with dignity and respect that soldiers are entitled to in accordance with the provisions of the GENEVA Convention and guarantees the safety and well-being of all PAKISTAN military and para-military forces who surrender. Protection will be provided to foreign nationals, ethnic minorities and personnel of WEST PAKISTAN origin by the forces under the command of Lieutenant- General JAGJIT SINGH AURORA.

Signed:

(JAGJIT SINGH AURORA) Lieutenant-General General Officer Commanding in Chief Indian and BANGLA DESH Forces in the Eastern Theatre

(AMIR ABDULLAH KHAN NIAZI) Lieutenant-General Martial Law Administrator Zone B and Commander Eastern Command (PAKISTAN)

16 December 1971″

Fall of Dhaka had taken place and East Pakistan had become Bangladesh. Beharis who were against independent and lived over there started experiencing an era of miserable life. They were promised by Pakistani govt that they would be welcome in Pakistan but till now after 35 years, they have been experiencing a miserable life. Infact it is their 3rd generation who have been suffering. MQM played dirty politics in the name of “Mehsoor-e-Pakistan” but they have done nothing yet rather they got busy in other shitty things.

  • After 35 Years

If I look back and compare the situation with current Pakistani politics and policies, I hardly find any difference. Pakistan Army is still playing a big role in Pakistani politics and misusing it. Power is still in hand of a single person and again unfortunately he is a military dictator. Smaller provinces are still being neglected while their resources are being enjoyed by Fedral Govt[Read Punjab]. Whether the issue of Kalabagh or recent island controvesy of Karachi, I see full involvement of Punjab anyway. The military force is still being used against Pakistanis by imposing different excuses and allegations. In short, we are still on loser side.

  • My conclusion

What I see today that things have not changed yet. Punjab still holds main machineries of Pakistani government and other provinces are not happy with Punjab’s ignorant attitude. As I said earlier that I didn’t exist at that time so I have to believe in what was said by others. Therefore I have tried my best to put figures and original text in front of others rather giving the interpretation of either side. When I see figures and original verdicts, I am forced to admit that yes we did mistake at our end and we are still doing it. One can say that I was not at that time but I DO exist now and can see how same politics is being played against other provinces by politicians and Pakistan Army. When I watched the first match between Pakistan and Bangladesh in 2nd last world cup in which BD defeated Pakistan, I could see the hatred on their faces against Pakistanis. They hate us and from all the condition and things they experienced, they have right to do so but I tell my BD friends and readers that this was not our fault. Whatever happened, it was done by our rulers of that time. Today we are hated by Afghans, our tribal men and even Americans.

All I expect those future generations of ours would come closer to each other and fill the gap which was created by the morons of that time. BD is doing great and I wish them best of luck. I know you guys were labeled as “Machi Wala” and “Patson wala” but you didn’t listen others and kept following your path. Keep it up and May Allah bless you. Ameen.

Every nation suffers so Pakistani suffered too. Japan was attacked and nuked by American. They did forget past in a way that they didn’t whine about it but they didn’t forget their past as that bloody accident kept them motivated to work hard and defeat USA in field of technology and economy and the world saw that how American become dependant of Japan in past and now China. I remember that every Tom, Dick and Harry was writing about Hudood Ordinance violence and about Abdul Salam that how he was offended due to his “religion”. We are such an ignorant nation that we totally forgot that we lost Dr.Yunus due to our mistakes, not only Mr. Yunus but millions of talented guys and girls who become victim of dirty politics. It’s silly that we still dream that Bangladesh would become part of Pakistan one day. It’s as foolish as some Indian think that Pakistan would be part of India in future. Split hurts I don’t deny but those nations who suffer should be taken care of and the nations who lose their part spend a little bit of time to ponder the reasons behind it. Cursing to Bengalis of Bangladesh by Pakistanis and cursing Pakistanis by Indians will not give any concrete solution. Pakistan is not a part of India and India must clear his mind rather coming up with several lame conspiracies and allegations. Pakistan MUST also realize that they lost East Pakistan, deal with it. Instead of cursing others, we should curse ourselves and admit our mistakes but it seems that Pakistan has not learnt any lesson at all. See blaming things like India did this or that is not going to hide our sins. I have often heard things that “It’s good that Bengalis were sent away and not part of Pakistan”. I don’t understand it. In this way we would forget if we lose some other part of Pakistan? Actually we should do some thing for our short memory which just follow “Forget the rest, take the next” approach.

I can just wish, pray and hope that Pakistani politics would learn something from past and STOP repeating same mistakes like Yahya who was another dictator. It’s so shame that Pakistani govt still has not made an official apology on behalf of Pakistan Army and politicians of that time.

It’s easy to design a new flag of a region but it’s damn difficult to keep a nation united. Hope current and future Pakistani governments will not make any silly mistake which cause the design of a new flag of a new state. Ameen.

Remembering 16 Dec,71- A forgotten Past-I

Saturday, December 16th, 2006

When I saw the pictures of Bangladesh’s Muhammad Younus who were receiving his award, the only thing which came in my mind that this could be the 2nd Nobel Prize which could be associated with Pakistan.

Like other people of my generation, I was also fooled by our text books about history of Bangladesh or fall of Dhaka. It was a managed propaganda by government machineries that Bengalis were traitors and they always wanted to have a separate state. Now if we follow this theory that only traitors demand a separate nation then in this way Mr.Jinnah is the biggest traitor because he got a separate state? No nation or community to prefer shedding the blood of their loved ones, they always have reasons to go for such extreme action. Our elders lost their loved ones and our mothers and sisters were raped when they were crossing the border. It is not because they loved to experience that but they had some goal some mission in their minds, a separate state where they can practice every thing freely but they didn’t know that their future generations would not even hesitate to offend both founding fathers but the state as well. Religious loonies used Pakistan to preach their own religion while secular forces tried to poison the environment by injecting their own version of Pakistan.

I was not in this world when East Pakistan becomes Bangladesh and my all source of information was nothing but our text books. Naturally no ruler likes to reveal their own sins therefore neither Bhutto nor Zia later tried to tell facts about the issue. Forget the text books, they didn’t even publish Hamood-ur-Rahman report unless India published it in the year of 2000 and made it public after having enormous pressure of human rights violation in Kashmir.

I had been thinking for last few weeks to make a read about all this issue. I had two resources, the Internet and biography of people like Qudratullah Shahb who worked closely to Mr.Ayub Khan. Unfortunately I couldn’t find much in it. I don’t know why many prominent scholars of that time failed to raise voice against this accident. Why they failed to raise voice against colonization by Punjab which still exists in Pakistan? Was it because most of them belonged to Punjab? I don’t know, they knows better or Allah.

I had to Google to find some relevant and unbiased material which I know is not an easy and possible task. Anti-Pakistanis Bengalis will curse to Pakistan and vice versa. Since After gulf war I have stopped taking media seriously and I just don’t believe in something because it was said by some big celebrity, I again preferred to seek facts and figures and original texts to understand the whole situation. What I have learnt in past few days, I will try to present it here in short and simple words. I can’t claim that would be all true but I believe that whatever I have read and would share here is more than 85% true.

  • Mujeeb’s six points agenda

What I think that things started getting worst after Mujeeb-ur-Rahman gave his 6 points agenda to run the machinery of Pakistan which was later publicized as a ‘reason to get a separate state’ and people of that time would have believed in this bullshit spread by govt of that time.

These points were first shared on February 12 1966. the points are given below:

1. The Constitution should provide for a Federation of Pakistan in the true sense on the basis of the Lahore Resolution and for a parliamentary form of government based on the supremacy of a directly elected legislature on the basis of universal adult franchise.

2. The Federal Government shall deal with only two subjects; Defense and Foreign Affairs. All residuary subjects will be vested in the federating states.

3. There should be either two separate, freely convertible currencies for the two Wings, or one currency with two separate reserve banks to prevent inter-Wing flight of capital.

4. The power of taxation and revenue collection shall be vested in the federating units. The Federal Government will receive a share to meet its financial obligations.

5. Economic disparities between the two Wings shall disappear through a series of economic, fiscal, and legal reforms.

6. A militia or paramilitary force must be created in East Pakistan, which at present has no defense of it own.

Now where the heck Mujeeb was willing to get a separate state? I don’t smell any traitor attitude in his agenda. What’s wrong in first point? Was it not the core reason to get a separate state or Jinnah was all up to get a secular state so that he could secure Hindus of India because they were not safe in united India?

I personally believe that whatever mentioned in second point is necessary and it’s still necessary because federal government [read Punjab] has NO right to dictate provinces to run according to their own interest. Points 3,4 and 5 were also valid.

Several people of that time made an issue of last point that Mujeeb wants a separate state this is why he’s demanding a separate military system. Now tell me that a faction of country which is thousand miles away from other part and which is associated with India which could never be trusted , how on earth military force which stay thousand miles away in Pakistan could go to help the guys in EP[East Pakistan] during war. Did they think they had some sulemani cap that they wouldn’t come Indian radar systems or they had some super sonic flying carpet which could send them in WP [West Pakistan?]. What was wrong in it? It just reflects that people in West Pakistan had NO trust in people of East Pakistan or Mujeeb? What else message was being given to EP? Naturally WP didn’t accept the agenda and tension created between two factions due to this agenda which was very valid and I believe many of the point mentioned in it are still valid for Pakistani provinces.

Now the question is that why Mujeeb had to given this six points agenda. Story is long but let me try to summarize it.

  • Reasons behind 6-points agenda

As I already mentioned above that above six points given by Mujeeb doesn’t declare him a traitor and Indian agent. IMHO, there are some valid reasons that he had to produce this agenda.

  1. At the time of partition, population of EP was greater than WP but they were given little amount of whole income.[ This situation is not different than Karachi which generates around 60% of revenue of entire country but enjoy less facilities than Lahore, Islamabad and few other provinces of Punjab. East Pakistan produced 70% of all exports of Pakistan between 1948 and 1960 which is a big percentage but it only receives only 25% of it.
  1. After partition, EP had 11 textile mills while west had only 9. In 1971 number of textile mills increased up to 150 while in West while in East they were only 26[Again I would compare this situation with Karachi which had most Industries than other part of Pakistan but after 90s conflict between MQM and Govt/Army, they kept getting decreased and now Karachi is going to become a starving zone rather Industrial where as in Punjab, several industries are being established in Lahore, Multan and Faisalabad regions].

  2. transfer of 2.6 billion dollars of resources from East to West Pakistan.
  3. Most of the income generated by East was “utilized” in Kashmir cause which I know was fake and majority of all amount would have gone in pockets of Big people of that time. Kashmiris were not helped after partition as well when Kashmir was sold in Rs.7.5 million by Dogra Raj of that time. There was no Pakistani aid at that time for the Mujahideen of Kashmirs and whatever they made efforts to fee the area from Dogara regime was their own efforts. Pakistani govt was rather busy in making comities and was playing pathetic game of beurocracy with Liquat Ali Khan and Hussein Shaeed Soharwardy.
  4. The demand of separate militia for East Pakistan was not unfair as well. During 65 war, West Pakistan left East region all alone and utilized all forces to protect the western region. Thanks to Allah and then China that war didn’t last long. What if India would have attacked on West Pakistan? Could Pakistan survive? I am sure that if this last for few more weeks or months then India could attack on East Pakistan and we could see Bangladesh in 65 rather in 71 . there were para military forces like Gilgit rangers and Punjab Militia at that time to protect West Pakistan who even had fought in 71 war but East was declared a traitor faction just because they had similar demands. Totally unfair!
  5. Pakistani President Yahya had no time to visit the victim of 1970 cyclone and he just stayed for a day or so after coming back from China.
  6. Mujeeb was declared or labeled as Indian agent. If it was all true then why did he condemned the Indian aggression and gave full support to 1965 warfare. I believe that 65 war was the best opportunity for Mujeeb to team up with India and screw the West Pakistan by halting financial aid and other things but he didn’t.
  7. Last but not least, the 4th five year plan for 1970-1975 which reveals everything that how East was being ignored by filthy morons in Islamabad.

See the figures here

These figures tells everything that how gradually east portion was being raped, still.. still they had not demanded a separate state and preferred to give a 6-points agenda which was not illegitimate . What did people in West Pakistan used to think, they had believed that they could be master of Bengalis and play dirty politics by suppressing them by several means. Sorry, this is not jungle that one can impose jungle laws here. (Contd..)

Marriage Invitation-Orkut Style

Friday, December 15th, 2006

I know there are many Orkut lovers who use orkut just like a cigarette. Keep scrapping all the time but for me it’s very uncomfortable thing.

My digital friend Kumar Chetan forwarded me the image of a marriage invitation card. Totally brilliant and innovative idea and I really liked it. I think these guys have given me a clue to design a card for my marriage :D . Some hi5 or friendster lover would like to adapt the idea for his/her marriage invitation card :>

A rapper tells his story of converstion

Wednesday, December 13th, 2006

It might not be new for many but there are others like me who were not aware of it. No I am not a rap or 2pac lover neither I am intrested to know what he used to do in past, I just liked his story specially the bit about his journey to Saudia. It also tells what is the worth of a woman in American society. Thankyou American society as long as it’s corrupt, Islam will be accepted more and more. I also think these converted guys are thousand times better than us. A good address by the guy.

Soon will We show them our Signs in the (furthest) regions (of the earth), and in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to them that this is the Truth. Is it not enough that thy Lord doth witness all things?” [Quran 41:53]
