Ironically this time I was thinking shudd we recite it from ours 9 till 13th or saudi arabia’s 9th till 13th … where Hajj was performed … so I ended up deciding to recite from their 9th’s till our 13th … !

    Salamalikum,

This’s a very nice post and absolutely a great reminder for reciting Takbeer. There is a well known (and is everywhere online)hadeeth in Sunan at-Tirmeedhi with a Hasan (and other corroborating isnaad) sanad that Rasoolullah (saw) said “Whoever revives an aspect of my Sunnah that is forgotten after my death, he will have a reward equivalent to that of the people who follow him, without it detracting in the least from their reward.” And, this post of yours does that, inshaAllah. Also, I want to make a comment about the timing of Takbeer you posted. Actually, I think, the takbeer should be (can be) said any time and of course also after fardh prayers and should be done from the first day of Dhul Hijja, not just from the day of Arafaat (9th). I can’t provide exact reference, but this is a well known opinion.

technically one can read it after any namaz whether its fard or not but there are some scnerios when a verse or text is treated specially for instance “Atahyat” which is read durding salat is part of Quran has special meaning at the particular stage of Namaz. offcourse one could read it even after namaz as Dua. Same goes with Takbeer Tashreeq which could be read as DUA as well.

The dates of reading it also has connection with Hajj which starts from 5th of ZilHajj and last 5 days so I think takbeer tashreeq is a source for those who did perform Qurbani at homes but not hajj so that they could also take part in Hajj ritual indirectly. Allah knows the best.

Right. I’ve heard both opinions. Definitely, as you said it Allah knows best.
