The question I would like to ask here in comment section is, did the photographer of Dawn arranged something for them to prevent them from chilly night of the Karachi or they just took the snap and got spoofed? Should I call it another shameless demonstration by media?

Dear Adnan, I for one don’t consider your comment fair. Each person in society and economy performs a function. No one is responsible for anything if they don’t see it that way. The photogrpher who shot the picture is not responsible for more than shooting the picture. Editor for putting the newspaper togather, the printer for printing it and so on. But when it comes to you the reader or citizen its a different matter. Of course I too am responsible, but my hands already full, you want to see how? Please go to www.strandedpakstani.org Cheers.

bhai Insaniyat bhe koi cheez hoti hey? Who on earth says that professionalism hinders humanity? the photographer might not be alone. He could atleast give them enuff bucks so that they could eat something. Maybe he would have done that’s why I said that i was not sure whether the person helped the kid or not.

Hi there,Interesting post.I find its easy for most of us to point wrongs of societies than take corrective measures.
Now as a journalist he/she did his or her part by pointing those little souls.But, as a person there is alot can be done.For example, old blankets donation or if one can not spare financial or monetary help than atleast have empayty for them.
I also understand Syed kamal’s point of view, sometimes its not possible for people to extend their help for everything as there is such thing we called , stretching oneself too thin.
As far as i am concern i understand i can not make the difference in everyone’s life in this world but i try to do so in few and yes sometimes its hard to make a choice but So in the end do what you can.
