Recite Takbeer-e-Tashreeq from 9th of Zil-Hajj to Asar of 13th Zil-Hajj after every Fard prayers. Men should say it in louder wise while women should keep their voice low.

Just read in today’s Jang that famous urdu and Punjabi poet Munir Niazi passed away. Innah Lillahye wainna Alahye Rajioon.

Munir Niazi met his creator on same date when we lost famous poet Parween Shakir.

These two articles published in today’s Jang which were written by Mr.Hamid Mir and Dr.Safdar Mahmood. Both actually tried to deliver same message but in their respective style that is; politicians and likewise tried to use Mr.Jinnah for their own purpose. I couldn’t deliver same message better than these guys but yes these articles reminded me an old cartoon which published 7/8 months back in a newspaper and I had recieved via email.

This picture says everything. We Pakistanis has forgot the orignal image of Jinnah so His message. Fifty nine years is not a short period to forget our founding father. I don’t have any thing to say, I would just quote the words of Anwar Maqsood’s play “Iqbal,Jinnah aur Muhammad Ali Johar ki Wapsi” in which Muhammad Qavi who was playing role of Jinnah said something very beautiful and touchy, “Pakistan Surah Rahman ki Tarah hay”[Pakistan is like Surah Rahman]. What he actually means that Pakistan has EVERY thing, rivers,ocean,plains,hills,talent etc etc. Surah Rahman also discusses the blessings of Allah.

*sigh*

I don’t know where is my Quaid, all I know that I was not told about him by our elders. They are still fighting to find out what actually Jinnah wanted. I don’t know who would tell me about him, I don’t know at all. If you find my Quaid then do let me know. I badly need him.

Six months back I wrote about death of danish cartoonist which was nothing but a hoax. Tonight my friend sent an SMS which is something like:

U are familiar with the World Trade Centre and the date of that accident was 9-11-2001. Well in Quran It has been detected that there is a verse related to collapsing of Huge and high buildings. Intresting thing is that this Ayat is present in the 9th Surah,11th Para. That sura has 2001 words and Yet there is another intresting thing. The ayat number is the same as no of storeys of World Trade Centre. Yes 110.

Before I discuss the actual thing, let me mourn over the mentality and stupidity of our emotional muslims. I am sure my friend had no idea that this hoax was actually against Muslims and declaring them terrorists that Alqaeda picked that date by reading Quran ,specially that verse while my friend would have thought that Allah already mentioned in Quran that Infidels would suffer on that particular date. In short, the people behind this content got succeeded to fool few emotional muslims. I just gave a heavy dose to my friend to make a read of things first before forwarding to everyone.

After searcing on Internet, I also found a fake translation of (9:11) which was sent via an email:

This is something to think about! Since America is

typically represented by an eagle. Saddam should

have read up on his Muslim passages… The following

verse is from the Quran, (the Islamic Bible)

Quran (9:11) — For it is written that a son of

Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of

the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of

Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced;

for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.

Note the verse number!!!!!

The fake translation has been highlited. Now let me quote the actual translation:

YUSUFALI: But (even so), if they repent, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity,- they are your brethren in Faith: (thus) do We explain the Signs in detail, for those who understand.

PICKTHAL: But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then are they your brethren in religion. We detail Our revelations for a people who have knowledge

The above translation is enough to expose that hoax but let me expose that hoax further. From the SMS I recieved:

No Intresting thing is that ayat number is in 10th Para not 11th one. Check yourself here

If you compare that SMS and email, you would find a major difference in the content but not in message. It seems that email idea didn’t work at first because the entire translation was wrong so this time they played with words and mentioned things indirectly so that muslims get excited and believe in it and this is how it happened. In the email, the actual 9:11 was mentioned while in the SMS same stuff mentioned as that ayat # is same as no of storeys in WTC while in reality Ayat 110 of Surah Toba is:

YUSUFALI: The foundation of those who so build is never free from suspicion and shakiness in their hearts, until their hearts are cut to pieces. And Allah is All-Knowing

Now I know that our innocent and emotional muslims will blame to US,jews or any other kind of infidels but will NOT admit their own stupidity and ignorance about Quran. This is NOT the main point that “They” did that but the point is why DID they do that?. The writer(s) of that email and sms were fully aware that muslims are the nation who hardly read Koran and those who even read donot make any effort to read the translation in their respective languages. They understand the psyche of muslims and know their weakness about Islamic teachings. Who can ignore the fact that today Quran is read and understood more by non-Muslims than muslims? They first made us ignorant about Quran by keeping us busy in different wordly stuff in the name of freedom and enlightment and now when they see that muslims have got busy in shitty stuff so they started spreading their things in the name of Quran or Islam. Therefore, instead of cursing them, we should curse ourselves that we are so ignorant about Islam and Quran.

Like I advised here , I will repeat tht you should NOT forward every other email or SMS which appears islamic or religious even it’s VERY motivational for muslims because you think that you are contributing something positive[as my friend thought] while in reality you are comitting a sin. So beware please and quit the path of Ignorance. May Allah guide you and me and save us from every miserable things in this world-Ameen

Despite of having a friends’ circle of 95% smokers, I never tried any kind of smoking, neither I promote it. Actually no one could convince me to start smoking other than “Girls get impressed” which is nothing but nonsense.

Shisha has become very common among young guys and girls who smoke it to show off that they follow modern trends. Many also smoke it because they consider it a harmless alternative of typical smoking. In Karachi, resturants like Indugle and Damascus and Indugle are popular due to their Sisha offer.

I often make posts related with human health on the basis of Information I recieve by different means. Today I recieved an email about dangerous side of Shisha Smoking. Read below and if you believe you love yourself then quit using it otherwise you are not going to harm me or someone else, you are actually being a pain in neck by suffering in different diseases.

THE use of “shisha” also known as hookah or water pipe is rapidly increasing in the major cities of Pakistan. Unfortunately most people who use shisha are not aware of its harmful effects. Most restaurant owners tell their customers that it is merely flavoured smoke and that there is no tobacco in it.

Recently, however, the World Health Organization (WHO) released a report on the health consequences of shisha use and it has proved to be an eye-opener. A commonly held belief is that shisha is harmless because the smoke first passes through water before it is inhaled. The shisha smoker may inhale as much smoke during one session as a cigarette smoker would inhale consuming 100 or more cigarettes. Even after it has passed through water, the smoke produced by a shisha contains a high level of toxins, including carbon monoxide, heavy metals and other carcinogens.

A similar hazard is posed to other people who are not directly using shisha by means of passive smoking. It is indeed sad that in spite of an ordinance in place, which bans smoking in public places many restaurants; offer shisha to their customers. Tobacco used in these water pipes is often sweetened and flavoured, making it very appealing to children and teenagers. A survey done on youngsters of school-going age in Karachi recently showed that almost 70 per cent had tried shisha in the past six months, and this included children as young as seven.

Many of the commercially available packets, which are used for shisha smoking, have misleading labels such as 0.5 per cent nicotine and zero tar. WHO in its report has strongly recommended that healthcare professionals educate the public about the potential dangers of shisha use. Moreover, the sharing of shisha between people poses an additional risk of TB, herpes, flu, meningitis and hepatitis transmission.

I would urge the ministry of health not only to ban shisha use in the restaurants but also to take other practical steps for the full implementation of the “Prohibition of smoking ordinance 2002″ in the country.
