To Iran or not to Iran

Many of you would have read that dems are trying to restore a draft to give a ‘legal’ to any future war with other states and to stop ‘one man’s decision’ to stage any war. Many in Whitehouse re taking it as a step to take away their freedom to start next war against Iran or Pakistan .

Mr. Hersh has comeup with yet another classical piece about this issue. Prior to that, he has writen about Hizb-Isrel war a.k.a Iran-Israel war which I had discussed in past. From the article:

The White House’s concern was not that the Democrats would cut off funds for the war in Iraq but that future legislation would prohibit it from financing operations targeted at overthrowing or destabilizing the Iranian government, to keep it from getting the bomb. “They’re afraid that Congress is going to vote a binding resolution to stop a hit on Iran, à la Nicaragua in the Contra war,” a former senior intelligence official told me

Mr.Armitage who has become very honest after geting rid of current bush regime and keep revealing inside stories[few mentioned in other article of hersh] has said something like this:

Richard Armitage, the Deputy Secretary of State in Bush’s first term, told me that he believed the Democratic election victory, followed by Rumsfeld’s dismissal, meant that the Administration “has backed off,” in terms of the pace of its planning for a military campaign against Iran.

Keep reading as it would help to learn many things happening around.

I wonder whether can we have such columnist in Pakistan who covers inside stories without any political association? I wonder why Hersh doesn’t cover things about pakistnai govt. It really surprises me.
