I think you are criticising for the sake of criticism only.
Karokari, Wanni, etc: these things can be included in the legislation at any time, there will not be much, if any, opposition to them. These are not part of the 'hudood law' as such, as they are not mentioned in the Quran.
There are a thousands things that need to be fixed, but one thing at a time.
If Musharraf government has made some improvements in the interpretation of Hudood laws, why can't you just be happy with this little step?

clair, welcome here.

No offense if I would have asked this on some other forum then I could be least bothered to answer you and ignored it due to your lack of Inforrrmation about the issue[yes you did reflect your knowledge about the issue] but since you're on my site so I have to answer you.

I think you are criticising for the sake of criticism only.

No, I am criticising because I am cursing hypocrisy demonstrated by NGOs towards MUsharraf and Musharraf's own vision about women.

Karokari, Wanni, etc: these things can be included in the legislation at any time, there will not be much

Either you're not a Pakistani or you have no idea how many women suffer due to mentioned customs. Do bother yourself to make a read about different papers published in Pakistan then you would guess which issue is most harmful for our women. Women are not raped in cities like Karachi,Lahore etc. Most of women re abused in rural areas and it's due feudal system of Pakistan. Mukhtaran is not a product of Hudood law,s he was raped due to a decision given by a Jirga of her village. Ialso ask you to read books like BLASPHEMY and MY FEUDAL LORD by Themina Durrani, ex wife of Feudal Ghulam Mustafa Kher.

Please please I request you to don't reject something because you just HATE it.

why can't you just be happy with this little step?

I am sorry but you're also victim of media propaganda. If you can read urduu then visit ejang.jang.com.pk and read a two episodes article by Taqi Usmani to get what is new law and what was in old law, No i am not asking you to accept wht he has written but read with open brain and open eyes.

Cheers!
