Oye Martyn He was the BCCI Chairman!!
I know this is rude but …. honestly speaking it did give me a laugh on their rude attitude that they are not giving a damn to a person who just handed them a trophy and he is nothing but a minister and chairman of BCCI. No I didn’t laugh because he was an Indian, even if it was done with Nasim Ashraf then I sure would have enjoyed it. I thought that it might not be taken seriously but O man, today cricinfo published two news about this issue. According to cricinfo:
Ponting, who was visibly impatient after the long presentation ceremony, gestured towards Pawar with his forefinger, asking him to quickly give away the trophy, which Australia had won for the first time. Newspapers on Tuesday carried front-page pictures of Damien Martyn pushing Pawar with his right hand, urging him to get off the stage so that the team could pose with the trophy.
Believe me when I saw Martyn pushing Pawar, it looked like he’s saying “Chal bay side Pakar”. Anyway people in India are very mad and every one is giving statment including Endulkar. Pawar guy didn’ t react at all, according to him, “Nothing happened”. Maybe he wasn’t aware what actually has happened with him? Anyway, his reaction should be appreciated and this whining is useless. According to Indian express:
This is how champions behave when they get the trophy.” The Times of India added: “They are supposed to be aggressive, even rude on the field. On Sunday, Australia showed they are not exactly polite off it too.”
I wonder Sepia Mutiny has not comeup with this *touchy* issue otherwise they make several posts for a single issue like they made infinite posts for Macaca Issue. Let’s see what would be the end result of this issue.
On a serious note, one can see the power of BCCI that how did they take it as a “National” issue. In pakistan, we re offended by any member country by calling us terrorists, ball tempering cheaters etc etc and we just don’t even react properly. Yeah I know I know PCB recently reacted after Oval case but what happened with Inzy is not hidden as well.

Sepia Mutiny is an America-centric blog. The “macaca” incident mattered to its bloggers and audience. America does not follow or care about cricket. Realign your expectations accordingly.
