‘We’re Sorry’-Managment Faisal Mosque

Wednesday, November 29th, 2006

I already talked about this tragic incident here but I was a bit unsure about it since I didn’t read any news about this issue. Today I was given a ‘The News’ Link about the same incident and apology being asked by Faisal managment Mosque.

ISLAMABAD: The management of Faisal Mosque, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), has expressed its apology for the inconvenience faced by people who wanted to enter into the mosque Sunday, November 19, for Asr prayers.

On that day, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Tony Blair was scheduled to visit the mosque at 3:15p.m before a meeting with Pakistani scholars at the university. Due to a 15 minutes delay in his arrival and extra-ordinary security arrangements general public was barred from entering the mosque, however, Azan for Asr prayers was recited without using loud speaker and prayers were led by Prof. Abdul Jabbar Shakir, Khateeb of the Mosque and Head, Dawah Academy, that was attended by a number of the University teachers, officers, students and security officials present on the occasion. A group of visitors also offered prayers outside the mosque to compensate the inconvenience faced by the visitors. Azan for Maghrib prayers was recited through loud speakers and prayers were offered accordingly while the British prime minister was attending the meeting in the university

Why do they ask apology from people? They should rather ask apology from Allah. I don’t know what kinda pressure they would have faced. I’m sure those who ordered for this act will not have any place for escape-Inshallah.

A missing child in Saudia

Tuesday, November 28th, 2006

Just recieved this mail by a friend. Regardless of whether it’s a fake or not, I am posting it because my blog is frequently visited by people in Saudia,Pakistan and India. May the kid meets her parents soon-Ameen. Read below:

The below is story of a 3 years girl found in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia 2 month ago. Seems she got lost and no body so far reports her missing. Due to her age they are unable to get any information of her family. The sad story is that sometimes she put the mobile phone on her ear and keep crying and calling Baba Baba (Dad…dad)

I am forwarding this message to you with the hope that any single contact may play important role in the girl’s destiny… As the range of this list varies across different countries (yours may as well) someone may happen to recognize the girl or may have heard about missing child…

Many thanks to all who will make their try.

Getting Fifty Fifty

Monday, November 27th, 2006

Adil Najam sends many of old souls like me back in early 80s when Fifty Fifty was one the best comedy/parody show on Pakistan Television. A product by Shoaib Mansoor,Anwar Maqsood and late Moshin Ali. Fifty Fifty Broke many barriers at that time by introducing new kind of parody and political satire. offcourse credit goes to Ismail Tara,Zeba shahnaz ,Majid Jehangir and others as well who performed so well that the show could be competed with any International comedy show of that time.

“Make sure this is accomplished”-Rumsfeld

Monday, November 27th, 2006

Madrid - Outgoing Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld authorized the mistreatment of detainees at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, the prison’s former U.S. commander said in an interview on Saturday.

Former U.S. Army Brigadier General Janis Karpinski told Spain’s El Pais newspaper she had seen a letter apparently signed by Rumsfeld which allowed civilian contractors to use techniques such as sleep deprivation during interrogation.

“The handwritten signature was above his printed name and in the same handwriting in the margin was written: “Make sure this is accomplished”,” she told Saturday’s El Pais.

To Iran or not to Iran

Friday, November 24th, 2006

Many of you would have read that dems are trying to restore a draft to give a ‘legal’ to any future war with other states and to stop ‘one man’s decision’ to stage any war. Many in Whitehouse re taking it as a step to take away their freedom to start next war against Iran or Pakistan .

Mr. Hersh has comeup with yet another classical piece about this issue. Prior to that, he has writen about Hizb-Isrel war a.k.a Iran-Israel war which I had discussed in past. From the article:

The White House’s concern was not that the Democrats would cut off funds for the war in Iraq but that future legislation would prohibit it from financing operations targeted at overthrowing or destabilizing the Iranian government, to keep it from getting the bomb. “They’re afraid that Congress is going to vote a binding resolution to stop a hit on Iran, à la Nicaragua in the Contra war,” a former senior intelligence official told me

Mr.Armitage who has become very honest after geting rid of current bush regime and keep revealing inside stories[few mentioned in other article of hersh] has said something like this:

Richard Armitage, the Deputy Secretary of State in Bush’s first term, told me that he believed the Democratic election victory, followed by Rumsfeld’s dismissal, meant that the Administration “has backed off,” in terms of the pace of its planning for a military campaign against Iran.

Keep reading as it would help to learn many things happening around.

I wonder whether can we have such columnist in Pakistan who covers inside stories without any political association? I wonder why Hersh doesn’t cover things about pakistnai govt. It really surprises me.

Innalillah-e-wainna ilaihi rajioon

Thursday, November 23rd, 2006

Is it sign of enlightment and moderation or mental slavery? decide yourself. For those who can’t read Urdu, I would summarize the article in few lines.

Mr.Tony who was visiting Pakistan and his trip was covered by me as well made a trip to Faisal Masjid and Pakistani govt officials banned the congregational prayers for sake of security. people were sent back and Imam of Mosque was not allowed to establish prayer. Few people over there established prayer in some corner. This was first time happened and it was also intresting to note that it was reported by a forigner reporter who also told to Jawed Chaudhary and made fun of it by saying that churches are not closed for visitors. Let me also quote the english translaton of the verse of Quran about certain issue which was quoted by Jawed Ch in his article. Surely it was revealed for us. Read what is the punishment for such people.

And who is more unjust than he who forbids that in places for the worship of God, God’s name should be celebrated?-whose zeal is (in fact) to ruin them? It was not fitting that such should themselves enter them except in fear. For them there is nothing but disgrace in this world, and in the world to come, an exceeding torment.(Quran 2:114).

Let me also quote what Jinnah, the founder of this country had said which is always quoted by seculars , liberals and minority lovers of Pakistan. you are free … you are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place of worship in this state of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion or caste or creed - that has nothing to do with the business of the state .

Where are all those frigging Secular and Liberal Morons? Come forward and tell me what kinda pathetic freedom do your elders and you preach all the time? My Blog is visited by people of other religions as well. I ask my jew friend to tell me that do they ban people to visit a synagogue when some one visits?, will hindus lock their temples and ban worshipping of Bhagwan?

I also ask from all psuedo Islamic parties to tell me that what would be the resulf of your whining on Hudood bill while such pathetic things happening in your country. How long would play dirty politics in the name of religion? Do remember you filthy bastards re not less sinners than those govt officials because you spent all of your life to do politics of Islam.

If you ask me I am all satisfied, Allah’s plan is going all set. I know such things will not even make 0.000000000001% on muslims and Islam scary, infact, as I always say that such things bring we muslims more clsoer to religion, no I am not including those pathetic cults whose prophet of Islam lies in some country of West idelogy is synch with Western policies. Now if you ask why am I satisfied, well my friend read the last section of that surah:

For them there is nothing but disgrace in this world, and in the world to come, an exceeding torment.

This prophecy has to be fulfilled. I don’t know why such incidents always remind me Faiz’s classic Hum Dekhain Gey

Bus Naam Rahay Ga Allah ka
Jo Ghayab Bhi hai Hazir Bhi
Jo nazir bhi hai manzar bhi

Update: For those who don’t trust me may visit the orignal link. This is really written by Mr. Jawed and one can contact him personally via email to know further about details or If you have relative in that area and they visit masjid 5 times a day could also be helpful to tell further about the issue. The papers didn’t publish the news so can’t be tracked . I myself is trying to contact people of that area.
