Well seeing from the point of view you've shown It may look understandable that maybe in a way they were better off ...!

But were women safe under the Taliban regime ... the radical ideas they are spreading is also not Islam ... were there no honour killings done in Taliban's era ??? Beating in public with lashes for not wearing certain length "burqa" is equally bad ... !

Extremism at both ends is bad ... Islam does not teach extremism ... no one ever practiced it ... I wonder why today's mullah are so extremist ... :/

Using women by these warlord's for their mean purposes ... it's depressing ... and such young children.. :/

Asma I hope you are not silly enough to accept the theories produced by media like an image in which a woman sitting on groud and a guy pointing gun to her head?

When I see our own people talking about taliban extreemism, i am forced to believe that west got successfull to fool our own peoples. Offcourse I am not one of many idiots who believe in those fake videos of kidnappers of IRaq. I already answered beating stuff, that was just another conspiracy ,nothing else.

But were women safe under the Taliban regime

If you compare with current then yes million times better. women were not being raped by taliban, marijuana growth decreased to almost lower etc etc.

Banning of women education at that time was not a bad move. Even our own fathers, brothers will take such step if they see that their girls' izzat are at risk.
