Tonight was Eid for them
No don’t get confused, I am not saying that it’s chaand raat tonight but tonight is not less worthy than a chaand raat for those who attended 25 nights to listen Quran and Finished it. I am not talking about benefit of Taraweeh prayers since you can always search on google about it or can visit few links I just found on first page of search results which talks about medical and other benefits of taraweeh prayers. The thing I am going to share with you is an amazing and a new experience for me which I felt this year after finishing of Quran.
I have been attending Taraweeh Prayers for years and Alhamdolillah I attend 30 days session rather 3, 5 or 10 days sessions but tonight I don’t know why the post session of Taraweeh was very mesmerizing for me. Everyone gathered around Imam Sahib and started hugging him and greeting him. People were also hugging each other with smiley face and were saying ‘Khatam-e-Quran Mubarak’. They all were smiling; Imam Sahib was also happy and smiling. People who were approaching to Imam sahib to greet and hug him had smile for him and in return Imam sahib gave them a smile. Little cute kids were also being kissed and hugged by Imam and the people over there. They all were happy and why not? These people listened word of God and tried to understand and concentrate on message of Allah. Imam Sahib wept on several occasions during reciting of Quran and many people like me had NO idea why was he weeping. All they knew that they are unable to understand what Imam sahib would have learnt long time back and the verses would have touched his heart as Allah (SWT) says himself in Quran:
And when they hear what has been revealed to the messenger you will see their eyes overflowing with tears on account of the truth that they recognize; they say: Our Lord! we believe, so write us down with the witnesses (of truth). (Quran 5:83)
I always wished to learn Arabic to understand the actual message rather relying on translations since translations doesn’t convey hundred percent of what actually was being said in original language. Anyways, the environment in my Ja’ma Masjid was yet another good addition after two amazing Umrah trips of Saudia. You might be wondering that what different I had tonight that was not experienced before. It was nothing but smileys faces around me, it brought smile on my face too. After a long time I was seeing my own people had smile on their face and I will not forget these precious moments in my life.
P.S: It’s just coincidence that tonight is 27th Ramadan in Saudi Arabia and Inshallah Quran will be completed tonight in Makkah and Medina.
