Our virtual family dentist Teeth Maestro shared his pain on Karachi Metroblog website and I wouldn’t disagree with him( but let’s not underestimate and ignore the efforts our sisters, mothers, bhabis and wives make to keep whole everything in harmony.
In Ramadan we men getup for Sehri merely 30 mins before the Azaan but these ladies getup at least an hour or more before us to open the kitchen, clean it and then prepare Sehri dishes. In most families ladies prepare fresh meal on time like Roti, Paratha etc because men of those families want to eat FRESH stuff only. Most of men just sit on table eat stuff and just get up and then again same ladies picks used pots and other stuff and clean the table. Ladies have to pray Fajr on time too. They also have to make breakfast for kids and for those who don’t keep fast in Ramadan. We men just pray and then get back to bed for a nap.
In Evening we come back to home from office, take shower and sleep. Same ladies would then be busy in making Iftar dishes.
Few days before Eid, these ladies have to go out for buying stuff for the decoration of home. On chand raat most of us go to sleep for early Eid prayers but these ladies often don’t go for sleep till late night and keep themselves busy to decorate home ,making Eid dishes etc. On eid day they manage to getup early in the morning so that they can prepare breakfast for us.
Most of us don’t realize their efforts. Our ladies are unsung heroes [or heroines] (. They keep our dignity high in front of relatives by making good foods in Ramadan or in Iftar so If they spend few hours out to home for shopping then it shouldn’t bother us. Yes you can ask them to keep the things within budget but let them enjoy! They don’t have any other tafreeh for eid. It is not an issue if they wear Henna on hands and prepare some good dresses for themselves. You should realize that still you re praised by others for all such efforts not those ladies.
So I would like to take advantage of my blog to thank all such ladies around the world. Thank you very much. We men can’t even pay 1% tribute of your efforts which you do for sake of us. In your absence we either become wild beast or stop living properly. Don’t give a damn if someone doesn’t appreciate you. At least I am appreciating all of your efforts. You are nucleus of a family and without you we could suffer a big disaster. God bless you and may give you enough strength to keep our houses as homes-Ameen.

Today is the 29th Ramadan in Pakistan and it seems that tomorrow would be the first Eid day. Those who were wise took full advantage of this month to seek Allah’s forgiveness, recited Quran alot, offered Farz Salats in Masjid and perfored nafils at home. Many thought this month a good chance to getrid of many bad habbits like smoking, eating less food, controlling nafs against lust of women and money etc. There were more wise people who performed Tahajjud before Sehri and didn’t sleep in last decade of Ramadan and sitting in masjids for Aitakaf so that they could earn blessings of Lailatul Qadar which is thousand times more blessed night than other nights in the world.
There are idiots who used this month to earn more money and sold things to helpless people in double, triple or I say nth time more price. There were fools who did use the Ibadat time to visit such idiots shopkeepers to buy stuff for sake of ‘Eid Celebrations’. A good businessman is the person who invest money on right place. Those who invested their time for Ibadat and considered this month as a test case for themselves are indeed true businessmen. Newbies or fools wasted this month in the things whcih they are used to do in rest of the year. I talked about both kind of people earlier and I also discussed that such fools still had time to take advantage of this month. Infact people in Pakistan STILL have few hours to repent infront of God. The best time is to go Masjid for Asar and stay till Asar and come out with people who were in Aitakaaf. Those who have even 1% brain wouldn’t waste time, rest is upto God that who takes hidayahat from Him.
I don’t know whether I will see the next Ramadan or not. If yes then I am lucky to use the opportunity to use it to seek GOd’s forgivness for my infinite sins which I have done so far. If not then I hope that Allah is Rahman too and He would sure forgive me for even the slightest good deed which I would have ever performed in life. If you think you haven’t performed any Naiki(Good deed) yet or time is about to over then Don’t worry, If you have parents, see them with a lovely smile. The Prophet(SAW) says that a person who in the morning just sees his parents with a smile, God opens two doors of paradise for Him. Subhanallah. How long does it take to give a smile to your parents? If you don’t have parents, don’t worry, read Quran for them. Even if you are on road and see some hurdle like stone or tree branch on the midlde of the road then just remove it so that it doesn’t hurt others. You don’t know how Allah gets pleased and such little good deed has become reason to getinto Jannah. You can also read Darood Shareef. My friends there are so many excuses to take advantage of this month and God’s blessings. Atleast you will have time to read Surah Fatiha and few beginning verses of Surah Baqrah? Allah incrases reward 10 times more per word of Quran and as Prophet(sAW) said that Alif Laam Meem is not a single word rather Allah bless 10 blessings for Alif, 10 for Laam and 10 for Meem. If still it’s burden for you then atleast say La Illah illallah even once from the bottom of heart, believe me Allah will just forget whatever bad things you would have done in past. My friends try to be a good businessman rather a loser.
Remember me in prayers
Ok I know that I have been making too much serious posts after coming back from Umrah. Though there is no relation of that trip with my bogging. I always love to discuss religion to learn new things from others and try my best to share my experience with other people which could be helpful for them. But now I would like to change the mood of my blog a bit by bringing some soft tones in my posts.
Eid holidays for 4 days! Halaat Deee! But why am I getting so excided? I don’t even go out on Chand Raat neither I visit too many people in first 3 days so what’s the reason of such excitement? Umm don’t call me cynical if I say that I am happy because I can utilize these four days to work on some pending software projects? I know you guys can NEVER EVER understand the feelings of IT people and consider us Deewana like any Poet or like Qais[The Majnoon Guy] but Kia kroun? I am like that.
Today I am up and using PC/Internet after Sheri after a long time. *sigh* I remember the days when we were in school and college and used to play cricket on streets of Nazimabad No.1 after Fajr Namaz. Playing cricket after Sehri was fun. You can’t enjoy similar moments when play cricket in evenings. 15-20 guys playing cricket and screaming “Out!!”, “Catch Pakar”, “Run run run!!” you always miss these days when you grow up and come in practical life. I remember my friend Naveed used to call NO BALL as “NOPE BALL”, hahahhha. *sigh* Sometimes it feels k Abhi Kal ke hee baat hay.
Then I joined University and started using Internet back in 1996 and got addicted to IRC and used to be part of #chatzone and Undernet #Pakistan Network at that time. Those were days of Khuwari, chatting for long hours with others [no I didn’t have any private female chat friend at that time, used to be active on main channel window, ask Halai]. My Ammi used to get angry at me and used to force me to leave the PC and do something else. Now those days are over and there is no such charm anymore. Maybe I am not too young for all such things? *grin*.
Anyways, so there are no such outing plans on Eid, yes I have to go to relatives and would go to meet my Khaloo who recently suffered from Dengue Virus and Mashallah He’s fine now. Pakistan is also going to play some round match during Eid days so It would be fun to waste time.
I remember that I was not used to go out and buy stuff on eid in my childhood, I don’t know why but I never like the idea. I don’t exactly remember what I used to do at that time, all I remember that I had lots of Umro Ayyar’s story books which I used to study at that time.
So what are you plans? I would like to ask from abnormal community [The techies] first who do spend to do weird thing in such holidays. Learning some new language? Debugging some pending code? Or you are all up to read new RFCs and millions of RSS feeds in your aggregator? Just let me know! *smirk*.
Bahar Shayed Akhbar Wala Akhbar Daal gaya hay. Neend bhe arahe hey but bachpan ki adaat hey ke Akhbar First so would read akhbar first: [S]
