What keeps Hezbollah ‘live’ ?

Israeli soldiers have been shaken by the fighters’ skill and commitment, describing them as an army, not a rabble. “Even I have been surprised at the tenacity of these groups fighting in the villages,” Timur Goksel, who served with UN peacekeepers in southern Lebanon from 1979 to 2003, said. “They have fought far beyond my expectations and they haven’t even committed all their fully experienced troops yet.”

I want your opinion on something, as I am Jewish and you are openly in support of Hezbollah:

Recently, 8 Canadians were killed in Lebanon by Israeli rockets. Israel offered apologies to Canada and gave support for Canadians to help leave the country. However, just a day before the attack, one of the Canadians sent a text message saying that Hezbollah had surrounded their house and were firing rockets right beside the residence.

What are your thoughts on this?

First of all welcome to my forum.May i dare to split your response?

    I am Jewish

Jewish or zion supporter?A big difference.Real jews(http://nkusa.org) dont favor Israel as state.

I didnt read such news but I am beliving its true but still it doesnt declare IDF people innocent at all.Atleast in presence of news and images in which israeli kids sending messages on missiles.

I do support Hizbollah but I’m supporting because your army is killing civlians,When you can support your army to kill lebonanese who did nothing wrong then why it irks you that I support Hizb?Hizb is not a terrorist orginzation ,they re respected for arabs now as they did tell arabs that how to fight with an enemy.

Wow… I do favour Israel as a state, and I do believe myself to be Jewish.

You then would believe me not to be Jewish. And we could probably argue for hours on this.

Anyway, let me say a few things before you shoot me down: It doesn’t irk me that you support Hezbollah. I don’t hate you for your beliefs. I do hope that you won’t hate me for mine, and you will realize that there is no difference between us except for the infomation that we recieve in our daily lives. It is in my opinion that if this conflict did not exist, that we could even exist as friends.

However, I do want to talk about this conflict with you because I think you represent the “other side” of the situation. We would not state anything without backing it up with facts.

For instance, in my first post, I made a mistake without backing up the entire thing I said, making it a stupid point. In your reply, you said that “Real jews(http://nkusa.org) dont favor Israel as state.” That is an opinion, and can not be stated as a fact.

Are you interested in chatting? The chats would be recorded and eventually I will post them on the internet.

    Dear Anon!

First of all reveal yourself by giving your proper identity. You said you want to record chatting and hiding yourself. Are you a Mosad or CIA agent getting ready to send me at Gitmo? :>

No you are as respected as my some fellow muslim.Your views could be unacceptable but they are respectable.Second I do talk christians and jews and one of my friend is a pure israelite,Judah Hamingo and his weblink is present on my blogroll.

Sure I would like to chat with you on this blog of mine.If you mean some IM services then it might be difficult for me as I am on and off from Internet due to work ,second others wont be able to see it.

Lets start with nkusa.org.How would you deny that they are wrong.

    Thanks

About my identity: I will reveal my identity to you, but I don’t want to reveal it to everyone else that reads your blog. That part is simple. One of my friends has a blog that regularly supports Israel, and in most of his posts, there is an anonymous person who wants to “show him the truth” and “enlighten” him. I just don’t want a whole bunch of anonymous people commenting on my blog saying how I’m ignorant and stuff. Kind of like me going on your blog and saying, “You are very ignorant. Let me enlighten you: Don’t you know that Hezbollah uses Lebanese citizens as shields, and therefore all deaths by the IDF are Hezbollah’s fault and not Israels? You are so ignorant.”

I have no interest in speaking with you without you knowing who you’re speaking with.

Anywho, I like the fact that you asked the last question, and questions like that are the reason I am speaking to you. This is my opinion on nkusa.org: They have an opinion on Israel. I have an opposing opinion. I don’t believe that either opinion can be proven to be more wrong or right than the other.

You can ask another question or continue on that same question if you have a point to make. I’ll do my best to find a place where we can state our opinions in our own time zones like we are doing now, and where other people won’t bother us.

If you have a question on the same topic, please don’t make it something that I can reverse, such as “How would you deny that they are wrong?” For instance, I could counter the question with “How would you say that they are right?” Neither of us would have made a point, and we would get nowhere. That makes sense, right?

  6. Adnan Siddiqi Says:

Anon:No problem if you are not willing to reveal yourself publicily.I respect it but as you said you can reveal yourself to me?

I am not clear about rest of your response. You asked me to chat about issue “the israel”.You in reply said that you just oppose nkusa people. But you are not willing to share why actually do you deny?

I have 2 points that israel shouldnt exist

    1)the promised holy land theory

    2)land was bought from arabs

both doesnt justify that israel should have been created.

I sent you an email revealing my identity and providing a place for us to have this debate.

Jews bought land from Ottoman and individual Arab landholders. That seems like a good claim of land to me.

And I’m not sure which theory that you’re talking about. But I’ll take a guess at a possible counterpoint to the point that I don’t know:

    http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/History/Muslimscholar.html

^ This is an article by Shaykh Professor Abdul Hadi Palazzi who is “Secretary General of the Italian Muslim Association and Muslim Chair of the Islam-Israel Fellowship of the Root & Branch Association (www.rb.org.il).

It explains how Jews have a right to the land according to the Qur’an.

If you have a point/counterpoint, please back it up like I did mine.

Here’s a point: Hezbollah, had they stopped fighting, would have ended the conflict a long time ago. Taken from http://www.nybooks.com/articles/17060#fnr11.

Although support runs high among Shiites, patience with the [Hezbollah] is wearing thin among many Christians and some Sunnis. While they may have cheered Hezbollah’s guerrilla war against Israeli troops in southern Lebanon, they are decidedly less enthusiastic about Nasrallah’s decision to continue “the resistance” after the Israeli withdrawal. Lebanon has been at peace since the signing of the Taif Accords in 1991, but at the price of losing its sovereignty to Syria, which maintains thousands of troops in the Bekaa Valley and exerts veto power over Lebanese foreign policy. By Syrian design, Hezbollah’s is the only militia that was not dismantled after the Lebanese civil war ended, and its refusal to disarm after Israel’s withdrawal is a cause of growing irritation among some Lebanese. “We want to go back to normal life,” Samir Qassir, a journalist for the daily paper an-Nahar, told me. “Hezbollah is using the struggle with Israel as leverage to gain power in Lebanon.”

Hezbollah could have stopped the fighting.

    Hezbollah manipulates the media:

There are some points for you to counter.

  8. Adnan Siddiqi Says:

Anon:i did get your invitation but I dont think its necesaary to start a seprate thread for this “topic” as I personally think it shoudntlast too long neither i will extend it.

Jews bought land from Ottoman and individual Arab landholders. That seems like a good claim of land to me.

Iknow this still i say its not a valid reason for “Israel”.

According to this theory. If a cabal a rich one starts buying land of NEWYORK and anncounce that they create a state, how will it sound?

The other point you guys discuss is about that you used to live on land thousands of years back therefore u need a state.

Again i can say that we invaded Spain like Moses invaded Palestine region and we spent 700 years in spain.Does this mean we should claim Spain as our Country now?we infact ruled in many regions so claiming them is sensible?

Hezbollah could have stopped the fighting.

Lame excuses.Read samuer hersh article which I also linked in my recentpost. You guys with Americans had already planned for it.

    Hezbollah manipulates the media:

lol,its intresting that a jewish guy saying this whose people actually control the Majority of worlds media specially US.You prolly say that FOX is run by Hezbollah?:>

Let me quote from his “classical” article:

    The Pentagon consultant noted

In interviews, several Israeli academics, journalists, and retired military and intelligence officers all made one point

That is HALFWAY through the article by Seymour M. Hersh. I, for one, would actually like to read an article that named its contacts, and backed up at least the majority of its “facts” with evidence.

You, Adnan, can also be accused of not backing up your facts.

lol,its intresting that a jewish guy saying this whose people actually control the Majority of worlds media specially US.

I find it interesting to see that you not only laugh at my claim that I backed up, but that you make another, absolutely huge claim without providing a single source. If you so strongly believe in what you are saying, do research. Back up your claims with sources like I do mine. Without sources, your claims hold no water.

    And one last thing:

You prolly say that FOX is run by Hezbollah?

    No. I don’t. :>
