The new management of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited is considering
to close down its subsidiary Paknet due to poor performance and failure to deploy standard based Infrastructure. Paknet has unsecured de-centralized billing system for its Internet services that is causing Serious revenue leakage to the company.
Those were days when many of us were able to get “free” Internet accounts of Paknet and IBM.I remember that when I started Internet in 96,I couldn’t afford expensive net hours (Rs.50-Rs.100).If i remember digicom was the first ever ISP who started Internet.In 96/97 Cybernet came out.
Asking for NUIs of different Pakistani cities,creating ibm accounts of different country,hehe it was fun.I remember i used to ask NUIs from naveed junejo and Kashifs(digiman,leonardo) of Undernet Pakistan
I become a legal member of Paknet in 98 when I bought their account.I kept using Paknet for 7 long years then due to their poor customer service and bad servers I quit it,now I am depandant on Cybernet service.So its better to getrid of such poor service.Well attempt.Did any of you try their “V” service?

I havent used the V service yet but my friends who use it say its awesome,its a s good as a Broadband DSL connection can be,and besides its cheaper as well!!! Bakee cant say anything unless i use it myself
