I wont support feroze khan. He is an illmannered guy. But I really appreciate his guts. My perosnal view point is that Pakistan was build for muslims and many muslims Pakistan are still called muhajir. Strange. I will not dig deeper.
Regarding India being sceular, I will tell U If a muslim is burnt alive muslims also burn hindus. Muslims are as safe in india as any hindu is. I can strongly argue on some points. I agree Babri masjid was demolished by hindu fanatics and riots happened in Gujrat, but the one who suffered was not Hindu or muslim it was an ordinary Indian.
Dude we belong to same culture, same race but we alwyas end up fighting with each other. This wen happens in India we call hinud muslim riots and wen happens in Pakistan we call it Shiya Sunni problem.

I dont deny whatever he said about Pakistan even i mentioned tht how true it is but he was not taught how to treat others,specially when you are invited as a guest.I wonder how would Indians feel if i talk crap about them and their land in India?nobody would like it at all.

Muslims in India are safer or appear safer in India than Pakistan,i kinda agree that because my relatives are in Delhi and UP area and doig quite well.

But its also true incidents happened in India which i mentioned,they are highlited a lot because India promote itself as a secular state which is not,you agree or not nad have reasons to say this but like you,i would not go in details,i dont like to pen about indo pak issues but sometimes i feel to say things which i keep inside:),i would make a general post about India-Pak relation in near future.

The term *mohajir* used by Altaf and according to this theory,I am a mahajir too coz i am urdu speaking,I dont like to be called mohajir,i didnt make research about formation of MQM but all i know that cause behind it or which was present to us was geniuine ,that is we were being screwed by Punjabis and fudals and Altaf got popular coz he was against them,the other thing which is true and not good for me tht he had *soft corner* for India and often preached indian idealogy and denied two nation theory,but he was not so crimnal than those *native pakistanis* who did a lot bad with Pakistan(sepration of bangladesh by Yahya khan and Bhutto)

in gujrat yes muslim replied back,u shouldnt expect a smile when you burn house of someone,even a recent incident in which a muslim burnt live dont reflect secularism in India:)

regarding other points,I agree with you but how many actually think like you?and GOd knows how sincere you re about your feelings.We should not hesitate to admit that we are rivals not friends,its sad but true and ppl on both side strengthen this belief everytime.This feroz khan did same and reminded me atleast that you are our rivals.

Men like Feroz Khan are worth a dime….Just being born muslim is not equivalent to be a muslim. Pakistan was not created for muslims,Islam was used as an excuse otherwisw Sir Syed showed muslims the way to salvation, which if continued would have really heped muslims in the region, British created it so they can control the region in future…..British made these unrealistic division where ever they went…..but now that we have a country we need to be proud of it and not ashamed of what we have…..on both sides of the border we have sensible people who think positively about each other……Phonies like feroz khan have no credibility other than producing some third rate movies filled with blatant sex scenes, which gets him the moolah and booze to behave in the manner he did….we have same kind of problems under different guises…but its all socio-political……thats why indian movies do well in pakistan becuse they portray the same feudal and corrupt lot which we have in pakistan…..because of cesorship we don’t make such movies in pakistan….the idea here is that india is too big a country with too many resources for pkistan to tackle….but we can follow the example of singapore which is next to malaysia but has gained respect in the world for its policies and carrying itself responsibly in the world. India bashing or pakistan bashing won’t do a thing , lets take advantage of each other’s strength and make a region where ordinary people can live peacefully.

Altaf hussain was created by the army to tackle Benazir’s might in the eighties….MQM delivered nothing….karachiites were taken for a ride by the ‘PIR SAHIB’ of MQM..now he is sitting in london and enjoying the loot…may he rot in hell for destroying so many lives in karachi…..I by the way voted for MQM in 1988, but when saw there criminal ways of dealing , i voted against them….thats why democracy is better because we the people can give our verdict…..thats why india with all its ills is still progressing because at the end of the day people decide…..until we have democracy in pakistan we will keep getting mugged by army and the likes of altafs which army create to rule us.

Yes ..I would love to…unlike what has been taught to us in school text books, that pakistan was created for muslims to practice Islam …..if you read the history and the politics of that time you will realise how muslim league was formed and what was the purpose of forming it….muslims were practicing islam for ages in india…during the british raj they were left behind in education and sir syed with the education program had showed them the way to earn respect and credibility in the political circles…..creation of pakistan was the best way to divide muslims….before in united india they were one and then came the ethnic backgrounds……and provincial divide….maulana azad had warned of all these issues but every one who tried to knock sense into muslims at that time were branded pro hindu or pro congress…(exactly wat we keep hearing today in pakistan the moment you talk against govt.), once again the students and poor muslims were used to achieve the target…the most impressionable and emotional lot….not too many educated muslims were in favour of partition…and of all the people …..Jinah was chosen to harp about islam…what was there about him that was islamic….Leaders should be able to see 100 years beyond their followers and… he commented how he never realised that partition would cause so much bloodshed…….even when the british were finalising the documents for partition….congress muslims went to him to wait as they were trying for hyderabad daccan to be given to pkaistan……he took his handkerchief out and waved it at them saying now even this much pakistan is acceptable to me……this was witnessed by many muslims…..who since then hated him…and don’t think it is propaganda….just analise jinah’s character……his politics what do you see… a compassionate leader like gandhi or a cold and calculating CEO……If pakistan was created for muslims then why don’t we have muslims in pakistan….why like india we have not done away with feudals……all the british loyals were rewarded in pakistan….sir shahnawaz bhutto being one of them…..and the list is endless….its about time the youth of pakistan should open its eyes and see the reality….what was done was done but now atleast don’t let the leaders and army take you for a ride…read, investigate….form your own opinions not the one taught you in the text books….

India is a land of so much diversity,we dont even realise it in our daily lives. Speaking multiple languages, following multiple customs & traditions, praying to different Gods is such a part of our normal life for centuries that we don’t question or interfere in each other’s affairs. What is more secular than that?

There are goons in every religion, every country, but they can’t take away the peace-loving nature of the majority of the people who have been co-existing forever..

That is secular enough for us Indians.

I appreciate the discussion. A healthy debate is the only way to prosperity. Every person has mentioned some very realistic things in their rspective comments.
I agree that creation of what we now know as “Pakistan” was more harmful to Muslims in particular (and India as a subcontinent too) than we originally thought.
Let’s us all look at the statistics. How many people call India & Pakistan their home? Just these two countries house world’s major chunk of population of which I am sad to say majority are what we can say: under privilige.
Why? Well, for starters look at how much of our resources are spent on “National Defence.” If we were one, where would that money go? And I am not talking about a rupee or two. We are talking about Billions of dollars each year… every year since 1947. Please do the math and reflect as to how much it adds up to and how much good it could have done to the poor. And not just that, the subcontinent would already have long become the so-called developed country versus what they call us as third world nation.
Also, from the Muslim point of view. Imagine if the Indian subcontinent were intact. The Muslim population in the present India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh would have lived under one shelter. That would have been huge! That would have increased the Muslim population of present India to perhaps 25% or even more (Disclaimer: I may not have stated the correct percentage).
And last but not the least. Pakistan was created to serve the interests of the rich… the feudal… helped by the British raj… Divide & rule… from Iraq to Palestine to India/Pakistan… It’s all British mistakes…
Whether we like it or not, Hindus & Muslims can’t live in isolated islands. The geography doesn’t permit it no matter how we may wish to see. Sooner or later we will realise that no matter how much ill-will we harbor, we just have to learn to respect each other. We don’t have to fall in love but we do need to learn to respect.
