What others say about my city
Karachi, the city of lights was once the capital of pakistan,in the past few decades,karachi has been destroyed a lot by politicians(from Pakistan Peapoles Party to MQM(Mutahida/Mohajir Qomi Movement).
Karachi is also called Mini Pakistan,this is the place where you would find people from all parts of the country,here you would find Butt Sahab as well as Khan Sahib,the majority of Karachites are Urdu Speaking who were tagged as Muhajir by Altaf Hussien
The city has been suffering since beginning by every means,whether its by politicians or lay men,karachi generates around 60% revenue of pakistan and yet treated as a step son.
The last decade of 20th century was like a nightmare for Karachi and karachites,hearing sounds of KK,Tanks and what not,reading about killing of many educated karachites,staying at home dueto strikes,Karachi was severly raped and yet it survives,in recent past years,karachi faces wave of bombings,killings of people in the name of Islam,whether its Imam bargah or a Masjid,things were not safe at all,say Thanks to Wester Media who tried their best to present this city vulnerable,despite of all that ,this place is still a lot better than NYC,the ppl who actually visits karachi,are forced to change their views about Karachi and its people.
